Andy's Pizza and Coney Island — Restaurant in Jackson

This is where my childhood bias comes into full swing. Andy's was one of the pizzas I grew up with around Jackson, and though I lived closer to and thus ate at Marino's more often, I was generally always more satisfied with Andy's. Andy's is incredibly generous with its toppings, especially with ham and mushrooms (though admittedly I swear the ham was layered even thicker in the past) and they also have a good side menu as well such as their coney dogs, onion rings, and munchers (ever fattening, but I'm not complaining). As such, it is still one of my favorite places around Jackson.

That said, I do have a few issues with them. First of all, their prices for pizza are... really up there, especially for Jackson. The product is good, but we normally eat elsewhere for pizza because it is generally cheaper. If Andy's Pizza doesn't hit your palate, it's going to seem like a waste of money. Also, and this is personal, but we live on the edge of their delivery zone, and there are some days when they'll drive to us, and other days they flat out refuse. There have been multiple days where they lost a potential sale because of that.

If you are new to Jackson, I would recommend trying out Klavon's first, as I believe that it is generally the superior restaurant with superior food. Klavon's thick pizzas, especially the Chicago-style stuffed pizzas, are in stark contrast to the thin-crust you get at Andy's. If I was unbiased in terms of ratings, I really should give Andy's only 4 stars out of 5. However, it is still my favorite pizza in Jackson, and I just don't have the heart to give it what I think it truly deserves. I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER go to this location or business AGAIN!!! Phillip was SO RUDE! I have never EVER been treated like that by anyone in my entire LIFE. We will be calling the manager and talking to them. They messed up my order actually both my orders then didn't offer any money back for telling me I need to drive back out there for them to fix it. Every time I come to visit we spend over $100 here because yes it is very overpriced but very good! We planned each year my daughters birthday party there. Which means over $200 EASY every year! NEVER again! Not only did they mess up my order but messed up my moms order. I didn't even realized they messed up my pizza until after I was done complaining on the phone about sub. So now my family is telling all their friends not go to there as well. I really hope at least he is fired from his job! No one in the WORLD deserves to be treated like he treated me on the phone today! I am very upset and still upset! I have three people here at this house who heard me order my food. For them to say I messed it all up and only ordered half right is totally wrong! He really needs to learn customer service! I really hope this review helps others not to visit this place either! I hate to write a bad review unless pushed over the edge! He really did it! Good food, yes a touch pricy. So here's the deal with the "3" stars and not more... Took the family there the other day and I was in the mood for a couple coneys. I used to get them from Jaxon pizza factory and like the real coney sauce. Because I've never had them here I wanted to taste the sauce. (Some people make chili dogs and call them coneys, which they are not!) The waitress was super friendly and understood why I wanted a taste but when she asked the cook behind the counter he shook his head and acted insulted as if it was such a bother to scoop a spoonful of coney sauce out. Strike one. Next.. Not really a big deal but why charge for a side of ranch??? I don't understand why I can have all the ketchup I can handle for free yet have to pay extra for a couple ounces of ranch??? Last: no free refills. Come on!!! Get a fountain pop machine, don't you know that I need a lot of sugar to wash down my 3 coneys and onion rings? How am I expected to stay awake after that...
