I want to KINDLY help Clients, Customers, Brides & Grooms. Please be aware that this IS NOT a wedding venue. This is a garage with cement walls.
If your wedding size is over 400 guests, and you absolutely HAVE to have it there, it can be beautiful! You will need an additional $3,000 for draping. There is no Bridal Suite for a bride and her girls to get dressed in, although you will be charged the same price that other wedding venues charge for that luxury.
You can only set up during their business hours. With wedding venues, you are allowed a late day for set up and rehearsal because that's just common sense and that's how the wedding industry operates. THIS IS NOT THE CASE HERE!!! This makes for a very, very stressful situation for everyone concerned.
Wedding Parties have jobs! They shouldn't have to take off work for Rehearsal. This venue makes you do whatever is easy for THEM. Their excuse? They don't want to pay staff. Yet you're paying thousands to get married there.
Getting married in Jackson? If you have less than 300 guests, go to Gene Davis and Sons. They treat every bride with care. They accommodate you to make sure your day is amazing! You'll have the proper time needed to set up your wedding and a fair evening option for set up and rehearsal to accommodate everyone involved. And their food is included and it's delicious! They don't have a bridal suite per say, but they go above and beyond to make things nice for you.
Ella Sharp is another beautiful option.
American 1 Event Center and The Towers (same management) do not care about weddings and brides. They don't even understand the concept. You'll have to rehearse outside somewhere or take off work. I do not recommend these places at all. They're perfect for animal shows and car shows. Not weddings!
Nice facility for small open houses and corporate events. Not for weddings!! Especially not fancy set ups with detail. My cousin got married there and was treated really, really bad. Jayce is the new event coordinator and she's super sweet and kind, very professional but her boss, Emily overrides everything she tries to do nicely for clients. At least with African Americans. Maybe others have different experiences.

Read moreUnfortunately, my experience with this venue was filled with miscommunication and unprofessionalism from multiple staff members throughout the planning process.
From the start, there was a lack of consistency. We were told one thing by one person, then something completely different by someone else the next day. We had a wedding rehearsal time agreed upon—and then, just one day before, we were told we could no longer rehearse at that time. That last-minute change caused unnecessary stress for me and my entire wedding party.
I was also originally told I could not get dressed at the venue and needed to find somewhere else, which was incredibly inconvenient. Then suddenly, the week of the wedding, they told me I could get dressed there—only to have a staff member come into the room the morning of my wedding being extremely rude to my bridesmaids, saying the room was for another party and we had to leave. We were already in the middle of hair and makeup at that point.
The way things were handled felt very unwelcoming, and honestly—it gave racist vibes. It felt like every move we made, they had someone trying to find something to complain about or shut us down for. We were respectful and followed all rules, yet constantly felt picked at.
They did end up refunding me some money, which I appreciate—but the overall experience was so disappointing and chaotic, especially for such an important day. I do not recommend American One Event Center if you’re looking for a venue that communicates clearly and treats all clients with the same respect. SN Jacey was the nicest...
Read moreThis venue might be nice, but Emily, the event coordinator, or whatever her title is, is a nightmare to deal with. Her attitude is completely unprofessional — dismissive, cold, and condescending. Emily, and her assistant’s incompetence and rudeness completely ruined the experience, to the point a bride was in tears ON HER WEDDING DAY!! No one spending thousands of dollars for a special event should be treated this way. Period.
The venue might be nice, but it’s not worth the emotional damage, broken promises, and toxic energy. Emily’s behavior was unacceptable, and if management has any integrity, they’ll get her some kind of customer service training, or remove her from her position altogether, before more individuals are subjected to this kind of treatment.
We just looked at a smaller room there for a future event but will definitely be taking our business elsewhere, as well as discouraging anyone from having events here, unless you want your memories stained with unnecessary stress and cruelty.
The one good thing about this place is Britton, I don’t know his title, maybe building maintenance, but...
