One Block East — Restaurant in Jackson

Note: this is a dive bar, and im giving it 5 dive bar stars :) My friend and i were just driving through on a road trip from Austin, TX to Wilmington, NC and happened to stop in Jackson for dinner. After being unable to figure out how to park and access any other restaurant in the area, we stumbled upon this place. It's thought the place was great! Being a vegetarian in the south, ive become accumstomed to poor treatment when i inform the server of my dietary restrictions. I was pleasantly surprised when the staff was happy to accommodate me! We got jalapeno poppers, and a veggie quesadilla. The quesadilla was perfect, bursting with flavor from the red onions and mushrooms. It was served in a basket with sauce and fries, nice and hot. We played a game of pool while waiting for our food. I guess they only serve beer/wine on sundays in Mississippi?? No clue, but that was all they offered, so i had a glass of pinot noir that cane from the little mini bottles like they serve on airplanes. I visited this place of Business June 06, 2017. The bartender by the name of Dru was disgustingly drunk, harassing customers about borrowing money until his next pay check. Not only was he begging for money, he attempted to go in my purse that was hanging on my shoulder trying to look for money. After getting the on duty bartender' s attention about Dru. She attempted to address the drunk bartender to leave the patriots alone. But Dru was so drunk, after the couple moved to a different location, Dru followed the couple and continue insulting them with ugly comments. This used to be a favorite spot until recently when my husband and I came. We got our ticket and was charged hellacious gratuity. I’ve never spent that kind of money in there and we would visit often. The girl working the bar was rude, seemed annoyed whenever you walked up to get a drink or ask a question.
