I had never been to 4th avenue and I was looking forward to celebrating my birthday there with a few friends. I was always told to book prior because of the crowd. We paid our 150 to secure a seat and entrance only and some of my party was still charged entrance at the door even after mentioning being with me. Each section said reserved but the entire night only three were occupied, one being the one we were in. So I was upset that we had to pay 150 just to sit down and when a lot of other seats were open. I was quoted one price for a bottle over the phone and was charged a 20 dollar difference at the end of the night. It was also brought to my attention that the bottle wasn’t even the large one. Our waitress although nice kept sitting down with my guests. For instance when we told her we were good she wouldn’t leave she would take a seat. I thought that was intrusive and a bit weird. Some of my guests went to the bar to order beverages and paid there at the bar. I’m assuming the waitress thought she brought the drinks to them because some how these extra drinks ended up on my ticket. The music was ok, the DJ just didn’t know how to properly mix so he would often change songs at the wrong time. (Personal opinion) The setting is very nice and makes for some great pictures.
Immediately after my review was posted I was contacted by Vee Stanley. She apologized and explained some of the “growing pains” they were experiencing at the time. She offered me a free section with a bottle of champagne whenever I was ready. I was finally able to redeem it last Friday. The reservation process was smooth, she remembered the incident and got my reservation squared away. We made it to the location and we were greeted by the same waitress. I’ll admit I was nervous at first. To make a long story and a long night short it was AMAZING! The food, the drinks, the waitress, EVERYTHING. I am so happy that my situation was rectified with so much concern and professionalism. I’m also glad I was able to experience this location and change my overall outlook. I don’t get out much, but when I do I know exactly where...
Read moreThis is my HONEST opinion about my personal experience with 4th Avenue. I went on the weekend of my birthday with my family as a first experience of this new lounge in Jackson. First glance of the property, looks nice and laid back. The building itself is beautiful but can be quite misleading if you have high expectations. Before coming, I went online and reviewed their website and pictures. NOTHING we ordered looked anything similar to their advertisements. That was the first problem. I guess you have to be there at a certain time or table or waitress or whatever to get the services you would expect from their advertising. Their prices are steep for what they bring you. I had a party of 5 in which we all ordered food and drinks. Usually the drinks would come before the food yet we literally waited about 35 minutes after putting in our order to have to ask our waitress if they were coming. Most of the time, she looked confused as if she had no idea what we were asking her about. They didnt have enough menus so we had to share. The $15 drinks came in PLASTIC SOLO cups and not the advertised glasses they were supposed to come in. However, everyone coming out of the kitchen with the same food and drinks my table ordered somehow was able to get exactly what they ordered, correctly. Why did my table not get the same? We had to speak to the manager (guy with tight white shirt on walking around) and complain MULTIPLE times; only for them NOT to be able to do anything. They didnt even offer a discount from all the problems we had. 2 different dishes we ordered all of a sudden ran out. The drink i ordered that has the fishbowl and dry ice came with a large corner of caked up dried ice in my plastic cup. One, that is very dangerous to consume and it made the drink taste AWFUL. The seafood dip was missing shrimp on BOTH of my party's orders and the charbroiled oysters i ordered were piled and piled with minced garlic and 2 of them were not even cooked and very cold. None of the food was enjoyable and it was a complete waste of my $30. This place is good to use as a nice,...
Read moreThe reservation process was very disorderly. I contacted 4th Avenue via Instagram, e-mail, and text to make a reservation to celebrate with some of my friends. The response time was slow, and I was told that they didn’t have a bottle list or reservation package list available for customers. Even though it took me over a week to get a reservation due to their lack of timely response and insufficient information, I wanted to celebrate here. I still made a reservation weeks in advance. I previously made a reservation with Vee, at 4th Ave, and the process ran so efficiently. Apparently, Vee doesn’t work there anymore because the reservation process is terrible now. Upon arrival for my reservation, I was told that they could not find my reservation/invoice of my payment. The alleged manager offered me free entry, shots, and a reservation for a different date but no refund. I also spoke with the owner, Mr. Powell, and the best solution they came up with was the one above. The manager, under Powell’s instruction, told me that the reservations were made through a third party, so there was not anything else they could do about it. I had e-mail conversations with Mrs. Powell regarding my reservation, so the whole 3rd party was a lie. When I asked if I could speak with Mrs. Powell, the manger told me she wasn’t there. Then my friend pointed to the car that Mr. Powell had just gotten out of, and Mrs. Powell was sitting in the car. After calling the manager on her lie, she just walked into the lounge. My friends and I walked in as well and suddenly the manager found our reservation and had us seated. I’m sharing because I want people to be aware if 4th Avenue ever tried to pull this on them due to overbooking. It was a big mess and almost ruined our celebration. It’s unprofessional, and unethical. People who come to your business should be treated with respect and receive great customer service. The customers, after all, are the ones making your business successful. I will not...
