Santa Fe Grill & Bar - Jackson — Restaurant in Jackson

I came to the establishment early afternoon on a Sunday. The first items I selected from the menu “were not available” and I was forced to order something else. We selected several other items instead (trying to make the best of the situation chips salsa/queso, drinks and meals - me and 2 minor children) and a to go dinner. I asked if the establishment offered military discount. (ID presented). The waiter did not grant their standard military discount to my ticket. I asked for a manager and the rudeness the manager displayed and unwillingness to grant their standard 10% military discount to my bill for me and my family (minor children) was like nothing I had experienced before. They waiters started speaking a language (non English) I did not understand (which I believe was rude and purposefully directed towards me and my family). From the unprofessionalism and perceived disdain directed towards me and my family , we will not patronize this...

This place is worthless. I’ve had multiple bad experiences. When this restaurant initially opened up in an unpleasant and crime ridden strip mall I was not intrigued. After a bunch of faux reviews (see many below) this place received high praise on the internet.

At this restaurant you can be the lone patron and still be left alone while the aloof staff blabbers about nonsense behind the bar. Meanwhile, your easy, “quick” order can take 20 minutes to be cooked. You can also attempt multiple calls for an order, only to be constantly ignored and sent to a random voicemail which hangs up on you. I could go on. Trust me.

I will only go to EL CHARRO for now on, like I have done for years before this rathole established popped up. I give Santa Fe one more year before we hear of a armed robbery here and/or it shuts down due to...

Never order food to go at this place!! It takes an hour or longer EVERY TIME! It is never ready when they say it will be. Also, the lady that works the front is RUDE as well as another lady there. I askes one lady a question and she rudely told me she doesn't handle to go orders and I'll have to wait for someone else. If she can't help me, thats fine, but no need to be so RUDE!! Also, they are stingy with the chips, salsa and cheese dip!!!!! They are overpriced on most items on their menu, especially the cheese dip. You'll pay 4 or 5 bucks for a TINY thing of cheese dip!! If they forget something in your order, THEY have the audacity to get mad at YOU!! I do not recommend this place at all. Oh. And not to mention, I've witnessed them being completely rude and ugly to food...
