The Lunch Box — Restaurant in Jackson

I have always loved this place, the food, the employees- for years my family and I have had lunch here. Unfortunately yesterday was my last visit. I came in and got lunch to go, and change for a $20, so that I could pay a $10 bill on my next errand. I should have known to count the money I was handed back- that’s on me- I put my change in my pocket and left. When I took out the money later, all I had was a 5 and five 1s— and the $6 that was my change from my lunch, after a tip. I immediately called them, and I spoke to the girl who rang me up- who told me she thought i gave her a $10. Since I was in Conyers and they were fixing to close, she told me to come tomorrow I was told today when I returned, that i must be mistaken, because they’re drawer wasn’t over.—-? Ok then. I guess your cashier must have pocketed it, because the money never came from my pocket until I got to where I was going. So, people - ALWAYS COUNT THE CHANGE YOU ARE HANDED BACK. I know what I had when I got there, and what I ended up with. Like I said- that’s on me. Lesson learned. It was only $10, but to some that could be their last $10. Luckily it want my last, and I have learned a lesson. Apparently she needed it more than me. I went in with my grandkids today took forever to get waited on. They must not like new customers just their old customers the waitress didn’t even ask if the kids want any kind of sauce with their chicken strips. The mashed potatoes was instant on the bar the cornbread was cold. The food was great, I ordered the chicken salad sandwich which was a bit too sweet for my liking, but still tasty. My mother ordered the cheeseburger which was very good. Finally my father ordered the patty melt, which he said was great. When you order a meal you have the choice of fries, fried okra, or onion rings which are a small upcharge. The okra was amazing.
