Horrible experience. I went in to get a virgin piña colada with plans to drink it while walking by the beach. I walked in, and ordered a virgin piña colada. The bartender said he needed to see my fiancé’s ID, who was waiting outside the bar. I asked why, because I had already showed him my ID. He said you have to be 21 to be in the building, to which I replied that my fiancé was not even in the building, and reiterated the fact that I was not even ordering alcohol. I went to tell my fiancé to go grab his ID from the car (he is in fact 21) and explained the situation to him. He left, I went back into the bar, showed the bartender my ID AGAIN, and ordered a VIRGIN piña colada. He made the drink while I was texting my fiancé, so I wasn’t actually watching him. He gave it to me, I paid, and began to walk out when he started yelling “HEY! STOP!” So I turned around and said what’s the problem. He told me I couldn’t leave. Obviously I was like why, and he said because my drink had alcohol in it. So I looked at him and simply said it shouldn’t. He told me that a piña colada is made with alcohol (effin obviously but thanks for mansplaining) to which I replied that’s why I ordered a virgin piña colada. And he said “oh you wanted a virgin drink?” And I said “yes that’s what I’ve been saying for 10 minutes” and he said “i thought you said frozen” so I said okay please remake it. He had to go get a manager to refund my drink so I could pay for the drink I ordered. Took him another 8 minutes to make the virgin piña colada. He put it out and I took a sip, then the bouncer, previously nowhere to be found at all, informed me that I could not leave with that drink. I explained it didn’t have alcohol, it was essentially a slushie. He said they didn’t have lids and I couldn’t have an open container. I explained that it was a virgin piña colada, in a plastic cup, so there was no reason I should have to finish it at the bar. He told me that I could not leave with anything other than a red bull or water bottle. So I had to finish my non alcoholic beverage at a bar that incorrectly and unexpectedly served me alcohol while my sweet fiancé waited 30 feet away knowing both of our days had been ruined. Worst beach bar ever. Would not recommend. If I had caught the bartender’s name I would 100% be namedropping because he tried to...

Read moreIt was okay the best part was people working there. The bartender was very kind in the drink tasted pretty good but I asked for it to be strong and I'm not sure there was liquor in it LOL.. I've been in there a couple times there was maybe ten people in there right next door on the Southside corner next to the rec there was probably 50 people but they would not allow me in after leaving the beach because I had a cover-up on and they said they needed shorts so they have live music it looks like so much fun would go there first try the other place the wreck was like a ghost town but the people who work there are nice I would go there again I would make sure to take out my own liquor. They had a couple specials and I just asked him whatever the strongest I need it strong didn't happen. the only thing I really feel like it. It decides there's not hardly any people ever there every time I walked by or been in there is there no music there's just no life to it. But the bouncer was a very nice guy I really...
