My husband and I decided to meet up with my daughter in Jacksonville Beach, FL. So we can pick up our grandkids to spend time with us in Tennessee, and we were also celebrating our husband's birthday. I googled places in Jacksonville Beach, and WB had the best prices. I booked 1 night ocean front room and a day later decided to stay another night, but they didn't have an ocean front room available. I booked it anyway. We arrived at 4 am, was greeted by a wonderful front desk person her name was Q, she had a beautiful smile on her face, made us feel welcomed, I asked if she could try to let us stay in the same room for the second night, she said she will talk to her boss in the am, because the room was already booked for that day. She was so nice, she also told me we could stay in the room until our other room is ready, I didn't have to check out in the am. I went down in the morning. I spoke to Q, and she told me I did not have to move rooms. I could stay in the same room. We were so happy, she made our day. The room was so pretty and very clean. It had an awesome ocean front view. The balcony was spacious enough. My daughter was coming to visit and I asked about parking for her, I spoke to the manager Katie, another super sweet person, she took my info and told me she was welcome and could park no charge. The pool was not very big, but it was big enough for the kids to enjoy. They had free breakfast waffle maker, eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, cereals, fruits, juice, and coffee. Everything was delicious, the area was very clean. They also had a bike/walking area about a mile long you can walk out to from the hotel. We have never been to Jacksonville Beach before. Now that we have visited, we are definitely coming back, and we fell in love with the area. I want to say thank you to Q and Katie for making our stay so nice. You guys are wonderful and are great at what you do. Keep up the good work.

Where do I start!? I will start by saying there will be pics attached as proof…it’s that bad! We had just driven all night to be in Florida for my son’s military homecoming, we were so ready to just shower and relax and get ready for the next day. When we checked in we noticed the main lobby wasn’t the cleanest and it was super small but we were willing to give it a chance. As always we check every room before we take our belongings in, you can never be to careful! Instead of being able to relax we were met with hands down the most disgusting room I ever seen. The first thing was the stained sheets, then we noticed the rest! There was dirt and food crumbs all over the floor, thick visible dust (that could have written in), thick mold in corners, dirt on the bathroom floor, in the sink and even dirt on the toilet seat, we didn’t pull back the shower curtain afraid of what we might see. But that’s not the best part!!! The wildest thing I have ever experienced happened when we opened the drawers and there were bottles of soda, a cup of soda and a half eaten piece of pizza!! We immediately called for the manager to come see the room. He was super nice and we could tell he was not happy about the room, he even took pics. We told them we would not be staying and would like a full refund. He agreed to the full refund and we booked at a different hotel. As we were leaving the front desk lady seemed irritated we were leaving and asked if she could clean the room for us…like they didn’t have from 10am-4pm to get it clean! When we said no she snapped and stated they had no other rooms. The manager told her just to give the money back, she released the money and we left. This place needs to be visited by the health department asap! We did not use it but the pool was so small more than 10 people would overload it.

We spent a couple of days here, visiting family in the area. I chose this hotel because of the price and location. We arrived about an hour before check-in and went to see if we could check in and see if our room was ready. The room was ready, and she managed to check us in, which was great! We had a room with a balcony overlooking the ocean. Great view of the beach and sunrise. Our room was clean. The bed was okay, not too hard, and the pillows were just right. There wasn’t much noise, except for the door closing and the air conditioner at night. It was nice that we were on the top floor. I wish they had left us more towels since we were staying for 5 days. Breakfast (7 am to 10 am) was good. There were scrambled eggs, bacon (they alternate it with sausage patties), French toast, biscuits and gravy, and all of them were good and fresh! You can make your own waffles. There were fruits, pastries, yogurt, and a nice coffee machine. I love the French vanilla! I would recommend going early between 7 am and 8 am as the hotel recommends (see one of the pictures). Orange, cranberry, and apple juice were available. Freshly baked cookies were available in the afternoon. Beach towels are available. If you’re coming out of the elevator, it’s gonna be on your right. Elevator is small but we never had issue with it being busy. You have to pay for parking. It’s just a couple of minutes’ walk to the beach and the Jax beach pier (you have to pay to walk). It’s also walking distance to restaurants and shops. If I could give them 4.5 ⭐️, I would. My only issue was the slow internet (sometimes it didn’t even work) and one of the couch cushions showing some wear. Overall, it was a good experience, and we would stay again! Don’t forget to tip the staff, including the breakfast staff!

My wife and I stayed there two weeks ago as we brought our child back to college in jacksonville. We checked in around 6pm, went up to our room and noticed the AC wasn't working properly and the room smelled like a dirty armpit. At approximately 6:30 p.m. we went back downstairs to the front desk and explained to the female at the desk we were leaving and we would not be back until around midnight. I explained to her the problem with the ac. She stated to me she would go upstairs and check the AC and let it run for about a half hour of and if it's not working we will accommodate you. I said okay and we left. When we returned to the front desk at midnight the female I had talked to was gone and the female who was there had no idea what I was talking about. Nonetheless, we went up to the room and the room was hot and it smelled so the wife and I sucked it up and at 7:00 a.m. with not too much sleep I went back down and spoke to the front desk person. I informed them of what I was told by the front desk person the night before. I informed her the AC was still not working properly. She immediately called for her maintenance man to check it out and a new AC unit was put in that morning. I believe the situation could have been handled the day before and the night of being hot and not sleeping much could have been avoided. We've stayed there in the past and had no issues. Now they charge $10.75 a day for parking which is not good when I saw numerous cars parked in the garage that appeared to have belonged to the local patrons out at the bars. One night I had to park on the street but still paid the $10 parking fee. My child is graduating and I have a large family that will be attending the graduation and we are up in the air regarding booking four to six rooms at the Best Western oceanfront. We are going to do our research whereas prior to this most recent stay I would...
