Players by the Sea — Attraction in Jacksonville Beach

I had the pleasure of visiting this HIDDEN GEM last weekend to witness VOLUNTEER actors, DANCE, SING & PERFORM their hearts out to Dream Girls!!!💖💖💖

Did I mention they did this for FREE?!?! You couldn’t tell me I wasn’t at a Broadway performance. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

You can truly tell the performers were dedicated to their craft and paid such great homage to each character from Dream Girls.

I went to support a former student Zavante Fizer @quietztorm, which if you were in attendance, he was the most animated and passionate dancer on the stage; please understand I am not knocking any other dancer, you could just tell who he was without knowing who he was.

Jimmy Earl embodied Jimmy Earl. He was hilarious. Curtis did so well that I didn’t like him by the end of the night. And Chae Clements aka EFFIE understood her assignment and SUNG THE HOUSE DOWN!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

And my thoughts on her sounding just like Jennifer Hudson were confirmed by the end of the night by other patrons of the show. Trust and believe she will be on a bigger stage soon. 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾

It's a good time. The plays and most of the staff is done through volunteers. They have a wine and beer menu. My wife and I went to see A Trailer Park Musical there and the production, set, and actors we're all good for a local show. The venue is a little small and seating is done by first come first serve basis. Parking can be slightly challenging as you have to find parking along public streets close by. The show was outstanding "WILD PARTY." The cast seem to envelope the audience inside the plot. It's so obvious that these cast members are doing what they love, now how can that not be brilliantly entertaining. If you have a free evening check it out.
