DO NOT ORDER THE HIBACHI!!! I've eaten hibachi at dozens of different places from VA to FL, and I have never had hibachi this bad! I couldn't even eat it! The steak didn't even look or feel like real meat. It was just cut into perfectly square or rectangle pieces of something gray and tough and disgusting. Then I thought to myself, at least I can eat the vegetables and rice. Wrong!!! The rice tasted like the gas used to fire up the grill and the vegetables, while clearly the least disgusting thing on my plate, were flavorless and hard to chew... I would've called to complain, but what are they really gonna do? I sure don't want to try to eat anything else from here! I'm just mad because I paid almost $30 for something I can't even eat. I've never, and I mean never, been so disappointed in hibachi. This was supposed to be a treat for my birthday. Now I'm going to my kitchen to heat up a Digorno. Actually, I'm gonna have to wait an hour or so to let this awful taste clear from my mouth so I'll hopefully get my appetite back... Maybe they offer too many different things. Maybe they should just stick to ramen or sushi. I might try ramen or sushi from here one day, but right now I'm just too disgusted - literally and figuratively. Such a disappointment. Hibachi has been my favorite food for decades... I'm sad to have finally found hibachi that makes me want to be sick....
Read moreWe were greeted by Andy upon our entrance into Wild Ginger. He was welcoming and happy to meet us. We have been to this spot many times before, however, under his ownership it has never been better. The sushi rolls are very large and packed with the freshest ingredients. The servers were attentive and did not require us to call them over for refills or to clear plates away. They were courteous and knowledgeable and answered all our questions. One of our rolls came out incorrectly, and without question, a new one was prepared and sent out to our table. As a small business owner, I recognized their attention to customer satisfaction, in regards to all aspects of restaurant expectations; service, food and atmosphere. We will be definitely be back and we will bring friends and family. Good luck to you Andy, and your...
Read moreWhat a gem in the neighborhood! We had the Edamame, Holiday roll and Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura. Everything was yummy. The tempura was lightly battered, crispy and flavorful. Lola, our server was delightful. The space is modern-sleek and inviting. The menu swings from sushi to Thai curries to hibachi favorites and lots in between. Vegetarians will enjoy the side salad with ginger dressing, avocado roll, cucumber roll, vegetable tempura and miso soup to name a few! Great addition to the JAX Beach food scene with no paid parking! UPDATE: We have now tried the yellow curry with shrimp: Huge firm shrimp with perfectly seasoned and just-the -right- heat curry sauce. Sushi: fresh and delicious and served so beautifully you don’t want to spoil the art by eating it!...
