I ordered two sandwiches from this restaurant. One burger and one steak and cheese sandwhich with no mayo. I checked my food when I received it at the counter and asked if that sandwhich had mayo on it because it didn't look like cheese. I then proceeded home to eat my sandwhich with my friend while she ate her burger. I took my first bite and it had HEAVY mayo on it and NO cheese!
I called the restaurant and the owner told me he would fix the problem. I then drove all the way back to the restaurant and the owner asked me what I ordered and I told him. He then questioned if I knew people made mistakes and I told him I worked in the restaurant industry myself. After this he offered me a job and I said "no thanks" to which he said "why, you don't like me?" Instead of just handing me my food I now had driven to his restaurant two times for. Also I ordered the combo... and when receiving my new sandwhich he didn't even offer me new hot fries... this is horrible business relations and from working in the restaurant business as long as I have, he should have compensated me for my sandwhich... thanked me for my business after that and won my future business back! But instead he barely even gave me my sandwhich without hassling me and he was not very up-to-date on how to handle customer relations when problems arise!
So I came home and ate my cold fries at this point and my mediocre sandwhich at best, without my friend which was the whole reason we were hanging out in the first place, was to eat together.
So all-in-all you just lost my future business and made a horrible impression on the people I know now.
Hope your business turns around, kinda dissapointed since I was hoping for a good sandwhich place by my new house! But y'all for sure dropped the...
Read moreI am sure the food may be great, but the service is absolutely appalling. I went there for the first time to order dinner for my family of 6. When I order food, it typically costs around $30 or more to feed my family. I went in and wanted to order for take out. Upon placing my order, I asked to have chilli on the side of my hot dogs because my father wouldn't be arriving home for around 45 minutes and I didn't want the bun to be soggy. They informed me they "don't do toppings on the side." I was the only customer there (I never see people here) and asked what the reason was. The owner (I'm assuming?) told me "people are greedy and nothing is ever good enough for them so they ask for too much chili and therefore I refuse to do toppings on the side." My reply was assuring him that I don't care how much chili I receive, I just don't want it on the hot dog, lol. So even with being friendly and being the only customer, he told me "Well, come back when your dad get's home and that solves your PROBLEM." I was ridiculed and disgusted; but I still very kindly told him "Well, I have to go to work as soon as he get's home so I have to have dinner there before I leave...have a blessed night." And then I left. As I was walking out I heard them snickering at me and it was just a terrible experience. My mother owns a mom and pop restaurant and I understand things are ran "differently" than typical chain locations. However, usually mom and pop places are more enjoyable as opposed to disgraceful. However, this was not the case at this location...unfortunately. Now I know why I only see one car there every...
Read moreI recently commented on a facebook post about thinking the Sheik and All American Hot Dogs steak in a sack asbeing NE Floridas answer to the Philly Cheesesteak and in My personal top ten cheesesteaks in the area. I was by All American Hot Dog earlier and decided to get a steak in a sack but what's this? as I drove up to order they have a , new to me, order board and right there in front of my eyes "CHEESETEAK SUB" WHAAAAAAAT?? Its not a sub with lettuce or tomato just the same filling from a steak in a sack on a long roll. This sandwich only cost $8.49 so it beat out most of the other places I go to for price right off the mark. The aroma filling my van was indescribably delicious. I unwrapped a good sized sandwich, decently filled with this steak, onions and my choice, american cheese. The roll was warm and soft with a great resistance as I bit into it. It was a really good cheesesteak, probably my new go to, its a little further from home than Miami Grill but not much. I lived in the tristate area for 35 years before moving to Jax, Ive eaten a LOT of cheesesteaks, from pats and johhny lukes to yellow subamarine in maple shade nj, Under the frankfort el, little sub shops off the black horse pike in NJ, levitown et al and Id put this sandwich side by side with any one them. All American Hot Dog is now in My personal top 5...
