Citizens of Jacksonville NC and surrounding areas. Come to Bubba's 33. New sports bar on the scene and already hitting it out of the park. For my first time here I went with the appetizer sampler which includes wings, mozzarella sticks, and fried pickles. The flavor selection for the wings is mostly standard with some name variations of what they call their spicier wings. The one that got my attention was the shotgun sauce. I'm not sure hot to describe it other than bangin. My new favorite wing flavor. The pickles were average but the mozzarella sticks were very good as well. I also had what they call the Monte Cristo. It's a hot turkey/ham and cheese sandwich deep fried topped with powdered sugar and a raspberry glaze on the side. Also come with I side of tater tots or seasoned fries. I went with the fries. The fries were pretty standard however the sandwich was bomb. Never in a million years would I have thought to dip a hot turkey and ham sandwich into raspberry anything but I'm here to tell you it is awesome. You've heard of breakfast for dinner but this is breakfast and dinner at the same time in one vessel. Highly recommended.
As for the vibe, super fun spot with a lively atmosphere. TVs everywhere so if you can find what you want to watch in this place, whatever you were looking for probably doesn't matter anyway. My personal favorite thing about it here is they play a great selection of family friendly music that is still hip or fly or jiggy or bussin. Either way the music selection slaps. My personal favorite part about my personal favorite thing is they also have a few TVs playing the music video for the songs you are audibly enjoying so you may visually enjoy them too. The staff is fantastic. Especially my friend Erika behind the bar. Love you girl. ❤️👍🙌🤘🤙🖖👊. I guess my point is, go give...
Read moreLast night, my family and I had dinner at Bubba’s — and let me just say, it instantly became our new favorite spot.
Having lived in the Jacksonville/Richlands area for years, I’ve tried just about every local restaurant, and Bubba’s has officially taken my #1 spot. The food was incredible, and the service was just as impressive. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with friendly faces. Even if your server is busy, there’s always someone nearby ready to help with a smile — and that says a lot about the team’s work culture.
Our server, Alexandra, was absolutely amazing. She was attentive, kind, and genuinely made us feel welcome. While we were there, an incident happened with another customer, and I have to give major credit to the staff and management — they handled it so calmly and professionally. No yelling, no scene, just quiet leadership. We had our three young kids with us, and they were completely unaware anything had even happened, happily coloring their menus and watching the game on TV.
Before we even left, my husband and I agreed that our next date night would be at Bubba’s — and if you know my husband, you’ll understand how big that is since he’s a die-hard Bdubs fan. He even said he liked Bubba’s more than Bdubs! We couldn’t stop talking about it on the way home and immediately called our family to tell them they had to try it.
If you’re looking for a new restaurant that’s family-friendly, has amazing food, and an incredible team of people who clearly love what they do — Bubba’s is the...
Read moreWell, dinner was a disaster. Twice my family tried to have dinner here and both times, it didn't work. The first time we didn't even get in because there was a 40 minutes wait even tho we were on the waitlist for that long already. The second time, tonight, takes the cake. We got in the waiting list at 5:47, it told us 23-35 min wait, when we got there at 6:20, the girl outside had a bit of an attitude and told us there was STILL a 35 min wait and she couldn't do anything about it. The manager came outside at some point and she told him about the situation so he took us in immediately.
We had a small child with us and they put us in a high top and told us they did not have a high chair available, even tho we had requested that when we joined the waitlist. Our waitress came and she was AMAZING. I cannot remember her name for the life of me but she was the only good part of this whole experience. We ordered our appetizer and that came fairly quickly, so we thought that the good would be the same.
We waited for almost 2 hours and we could not get our food. After 1 hour and a half, we told our server we had to cancel because we needed to put the baby to bed… we left without dinner and my toddler didn't have anything to eat either because they LOST OUR TICKET. I have no idea how that could have happened but it did. The manager gave us a ticket for a free meal up to $25 “for next time” and didn't charge us for the appetizer, but honestly everything was so bad that there won't be...
