From the moment I called to check on reserving a room for the weekend to the moment I checked out two days later, I felt like I truly mattered. I called ahead because I wanted to be sure that somebody would be able to come out to my car and help me get my belongings into the hotel. I was very nervous about this. I was alone, I use a wheelchair, had my dog with me, and had to bring in a bunch of medical equipment for my Chronic Illnesses. This included a large and heavy oxygen concentrator, a backpack full of feeding tube supplies, bags full of everything my dog needed and more. The front desk manager met me at my car HAPPILY and loaded all of my belongings onto a luggage cart, took it to my room while I checked in and unloaded everything for me. However, this wasn’t before she came back out to my car where I parked and stood in the pouring rain, helping me and put together my wheelchair, get out and then walk inside with my dog. When she then put my belongings in my room she even put my oxygen concentrator next to the bed and plugged it in. I wish I could remember her name, but all I remember is that she told me she was the manager on duty at the time and to please let her know if I needed anything. Checking in at the desk took less than two minutes and then I was off to my room where the manager met me and made sure I had everything I needed. That evening, Kimmie came and got my ice bucket and filled it for me. She also made sure to tell me multiple times that they were there to help me with anything I needed. Early the next morning, Beka actually WALKED MY DOG for me because, in my wheelchair, I couldn’t get out into the flooded grass during the storm, so I took him out five times in the awful weather to no avail. She went out in the pouring rain and got him to potty. She also brought me my new set of keys that morning, for my second night, because my booking was updated (and it wasn’t until my second night was booked by my husband, a Hilton Honors diamond member, that they even knew I had a Hilton Honors account – so I have to believe that they treat all of their guests this fabulous way, if not at minimum all of their disabled guests that need extra help). I offered to tip her for walking my dog, but she told me that she took genuine pleasure in helping me and loves animals, so she didn’t need anything extra. During that day, Paula checked on me twice (all of the interactions I had involving staff knowing what I needed help with were via courtesy texts that I responded to). At 6am the next morning Beka came to my room with a luggage cart, loaded all my belongings, went with me to my car and loaded it all up for me and said goodbye. Outside of all of this, which I truly feel is exemplary, above and beyond service, I was also extremely pleased with the interactions I had when I went to the front desk over the course of the weekend. I asked for things like lotion, I bought snacks, and every single employee working was happy and friendly and kind. I was forced to spend my weekend in a hotel because of the storm, because my doctors and pharmacy were messaging me about the high chance of me losing power and not being able to use my oxygen. I was dreading this, because it is such a massive undertaking for me to get all of my medical supplies, my dog and myself out the door and then into a hotel. I thought I would be alone in the endeavor, but I wasn’t alone. I had help every step of the way, and I really, really hope the upper management takes notice of how fantastic the staff at this...
Read moreI had to stay here with my family for about 3 months due to some complications with our prior apartments. My family is made up of me, a teen, my little sister, little older than a toddler, our mother, and my cat. The room we got was on the 4th floor, (I believe it was 402?) and it had 2 beds, a pull out couch, a kitchenette (no stove), and a decent bathroom. There is also a fairly big TV that would swivel from side to side so you. Can see it from the bed closest to the window. There was 2 closets, 2 counter like things with dressers under them, and another 2 counters with nothing under them. A table on wheels that fits under the counter and a chair that rolls. The beds were clean and made well. The water would randomly cut out or lose pressure for a little bit before going back to normal (I think this is because of rooms beside or under us showering as well or using the dishwasher.) The people at the front desk were really kind and made sure there was enough food for breakfast (they even started to put it out around 10 minutes earlier than normal on weekdays because the school bus that came to get us was very early and we needed time to eat.(this isn’t normal it was a VERY specific situation, I am just highlighting the kindness of the staff) the common area has charging ports, comfortable seats and some other seats for working. (This is by far my favorite part) THEY HAD A CATT :D, his name is Willy and I loved joking very much. There was a fire pit that was broken while we were there, and there was also a pool. I didn’t use it often because it made my hair crunchy and ruined the texture for a bit (I think it’s from too much chlorine?). There is a gym and a laundry mat (it ended up eating a lot of my mom’s money so be careful.) The elevators (of which there were two) broke quite a lot, most the time it was only one but there was once that Both broke, but they fixed it immediately. There are stairs that you can use if you need to. I liked the area because there was a McDonald’s in walking distance, but there is like 5 other hotels right next to it so that was a little confusing. It does have free wifi which worked really well even with 40+ people from the same apartments I was in, using it. When it comes to consoles they have a really simple help like that you can call to get them to connect your console to the internet there. (I did about 3, my ps4, my Nintendo switch, and my friends Nintendo switch, and it only takes about 15 minutes.) They also had a board for polaroids of people and their pets, it was really cute. Overall my stay there was very lovely (apart from the point I was never really alone, but that wasn’t on the hotel itself) I cannot comment on stay prices and fees, but the little store by the counter was EXPENSIVE. Either way I would recommend
Read moreWe were looking for a place to stay for a last minute vacation that also allowed pets and Home2 came up on a search and we couldn't have been more pleased.
To start, the booking process was so easy, Ashley was super helpful and answered all of my nit-pick questions, like which king one bedroom suite is bigger, brighter and easier to get to and from. The price was so right, we payed $555 for three nights but arrived well ahead of normal check in.
There is a salt water indoor heated pool, laundry machines, workout equipment, continental breakfast that has so many options for kids its mind blowing.
The room was HUGE, CLEAN and had huge windows with blackout electric blinds, cool I know.
It's located minutes from Le Jeune's main gate and literally located in an ideal setting, for those looking to not drive and walk to dinner (or drinks) it is very accessible.
Pets are allowed at an additional one time charge of $75, that's CHEAP if you aren't familiar and there's a sidewalk around the entire perimeter of the hotel's grounds for walks as well as a designated dodo area with bags and a bin!
Besides all that, the staff is super friendly, extremely helpful and on top of their game. One evening we noticed that the guest who exited the elevator had been ill, in minutes it was cleaned and completely unnoticeable!
There were few Marines, mostly families or mature couples.
Of all the local hotels THIS IS THE PLACE to stay, it's on a whole other level of service and accommodations. I have stayed in several hotels and this by far met the needs of my children best.
BOOK IT!!! You won't regret it!
On a last note, we requested housekeeping and she was outstanding, which was such a relief for a mom of 3!
If you are curious about the room, go take a look, there's a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, dishes, cooking utensils, and they can bring up a hot plate and pans for guests who'd prefer to cook. Just perfect!
Two flat screen TV's with super easy hookup for our Wii and outlets in expected places. Walmart is across the Blvd. and has a grocery center...
