Cajun Seafood — Restaurant in Jacksonville

On behalf of my family & I, we ordered takeout consisting of wings, cajun fries, side of eggs, Two L3's with extra old bay & a Fried Fish platter. The fries did not have any cajun seasoning, the fried fish was without flavor, the L3's was full of water, no garlic butter & a sprinkle of old bay. Out of the entire meal, the eggs were the best. Then to further add to the disappointment, my niece was not given my CC back after she signed the receipt. After she left, she called back & a female employee insisted she did not steal the card. The interesting thing is, that was never said. Needless to say when my niece went back to this establishment, my CC appeared behind the counter, and a male employee gave my niece my card, that reappeared. For the initial female employee to become so defensive is baffling. My family raved about how delicious the food is here. For my first time, I was not impressed. In turn, I hope my niece was right when she advised they were extremely busy and that the food is usually most times a hit...

I really expected more from this place when I went in and it smelled good and the food look good. First of all they have you sit and wait and do not bring your food to you which is no big deal but then when I started eating my food the crab legs I had to tear every one of them open to get the meat out it did not come out like it should the shrimp were falling apart as I tried to peel them. This was a Sunday afternoon I asked the cashier for utensils to help get into the crab legs and all they had to offer was a plastic fork. And when I brought it to their attention all I got was a shrug of the shoulders and just looked at me. And after I went there I'm in town for a show I told everyone where I went and they all hung her head and shook no you should not have gone there worse seafood in town. I do not recommend it at all and will not go back. This place is now our FAVORITE! I'm originally from Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana and I MISS FOOD FROM HOME! Great prices, great food! They even have a little Cajun shop section to get stuff to take home and cook! Stuff you ain't gonna find in food lion. You can even order steamed dumplings there which is an Asian cuisine FAVORITE of ours! The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive. You don't wait forever. They take the COVID rules seriously so you ain't in a crowd of people worried. Just ALL AROUND AWESOME EXPERIENCE! Now if we could just talk them into putting boudain balls and fried frog legs on the menu 😋 ain't had that Cajun favorite in a few years.
