I HATE THIS PLACE!!!
I had a guest come to visit from out of town. She had her grandkids in tow and they LOVED IT! They were smiling/ laughing and having a blast from the time we walked in.
I thought that the matching of each child to an adult was a good idea, upon entering... however, I was able to walk out with my friend's grandkid (stamp wasn't checked). To be fair, we do look somewhat alike and she is often mistaken for my daughter/granddaughter. Looks aside, the fact that I was able to exit this building with an unrelated 8 year old child is somewhat unsettling in hindsight. This lapse could create an unsafe situation if you (as a parent) are relying on this system to keep your child safe or if you come with a group of children of various ages. Hopefully the staff would be more attentive to people attempting to leave with toddlers, IDK! That was NOT my situation but it might be worth noting for anyone taking younger children.
We ended up getting some pizza package with tokens. I ended up buying an additional bunch of the tokens because the kids were having so much fun and we all sucked at the games. I found the prices to be reasonable.
The prize redemption place reminds me of the fair. Your child will probably hope to win enough tickets to get one of the larger items. As the adult, when you do the math- you will realize that in order to get THAT item, it will cost you another $400 in tokens/tickets to get it. Most of the kids seemed okay with that as long as they were able to redeem the tickets for SOMETHING! Might be a good idea to manage expectations prior to your visit.
It was hard to tell if the children liked the food. There was way to much going on for them to want to sit still and eat. We did get a 'to go' box.
ALL AND ALL, TOTALLY worth it in exchange for seeing the smiles of the little ones, but bring Tylenol for yourself. 5 stars for the place- one star hit for what I viewed as a lapse...
Read moreLet's start by saying I have over 20 years in restaurants. I understand weekends get busy. In a place like this, even more crazy cause kids and birthday parties and yeah...but we arrived and placed our order at 5:55pm. We ordered a pizza, half cheese, half pepperoni, cheese bread, game card, and trampoline time. It was crazy busy, kids running rampant...the restaurant is A DISASTER. The bathrooms are gross and out of soap. (All these kids and NO SOAP?!?!?!) There's trash all over!!! Dining room? Typical, with all the kids. But for the bathrooms to be in this state? đ© Anyway, sit down to wait for the food so my kids can eat before they play. An hour goes by, I go back up and I'm told my food is almost ready. Another half hour... and one of the employees says "do you want me to just go back there and make it for you?" Would've been nice if it'd been made when ordered, but yes. Fml. I stop and talk to the GM and he tells me "after hurricane" blah blah blah. Excuse me, sir, but no. Starts talking about his staffing. Uh huh. No. It's no matter of how short or fully staffed you MIGHT BE. It's a matter of how YOU, as their MANAGER, handled the backup. They'd made my food and let someone else take it!!! When they DID replace my food...these pizza slices are really ridiculous (see photos) and we were lucky to get 1 piece of pepperoni on any slice of pizza. Marinara sauce for cheese bread was ice cold, too... we've always loved Chuck E Cheese, but this is the 3rd bad experience at any location here in Jax. I won't be back after this. My oldest son's...
Read moreI have been coming to this location regularly because it always clean and usually has great customer service sadly today that was not my experience. Firstly, I was promptly greeted at the door so we were off to a good start. Then the phone rang the only person who we at the time saw went to answer it, no problem but as time passed it became painfully obvious are party of 12 was not a concern. So finally we receive service only to be told that the deal be advertised all over the internet, my YouTube page and every other social media page partly the reason we came will not be honored. It gets better the Manger did not honor the deal because his general manger Mr. Jim I was told said not to give out any treat bags during the week to save them for weekends only even though thatâs clearly not what being advertised. We were further instructed to contact Jim tomorrow (which we will do) to beg for something we should have been given because we honored the rules Chuck E. Cheese put in place but clearly the rules can be changed at their will. I would advise you to not only go by the Chuck E. Cheese website because clearly itâs not reliable no matter how hard they are pushing the advertisements. In summary we could have attended many Halloween events but we choose Chuck E. Cheese which denied us $2 candy bags because they are giving out as they see fit not as advertised. Beware of false advertising take your kids someplace else were they wonât be disappointed over a $2...
