Response to the rude manager replying to us: pull the footage please.🙏🏾 If anyone is not credible it is you Sir!
Yes, I am a content creator, but I did not ask our party of five to leave a one-star review! I can share the email I sent you, which discussed how we intended to share our experience with my audience regarding the service we received. The party of five was simply expressing their honest experience before leaving the restaurant. Please stop spreading falsehoods. We have no motive to leave negative reviews, especially since fine dining is something we truly appreciate, sir. Your continued pursuit of this matter feels quite unreasonable, especially considering the distress we encountered in the first place. You're revealing a lot about your character, and I find it quite absurd. I encourage you to pull the security footage for clarity. Thank you.
First and foremost, my husband never claimed that you intentionally put a bolt in his tire. He merely mentioned that when the valet returned his car, it had a bolt in it. Nobody is assuming it was done on purpose; it simply adds to the series of unfortunate events we’ve experienced.
Secondly, your responses reflect the very attitude we encountered throughout the evening—one that feels indifferent and uncaring. I urge you to review the security footage from that night and share it on your Facebook page for all of Jacksonville to see.
You keep insisting that our dining time was within your acceptable limits, but how can you serve dinner at 9:50 when you close at 10? Were we meant to rush through our meal? We ordered our main courses at the same time as the hors d'oeuvres because of the delays we faced with the bread and appetizers. It seems that your primary focus is on the clock rather than providing quality service and genuine hospitality. It’s clear where John gets his attitude from. Not once did anyone ask how to improve our experience or offer an apology. Frankly, I’ve received more empathy from a drive-thru at Burger King than from your establishment.
You seemed unconcerned that our bill totaled $800 yet we barely had time to enjoy our overpriced, unseasoned steak, which we ended up bringing home. Thankfully, the appetizers were enjoyable, and that’s all I can say.
As we arrived, our spirits soared, filled with gratitude for our journey thus far. But to our dismay, we were met with an entirely different vibe. I understand that everyone can have off days, so we chose to overlook our waiter’s lack of cheerfulness. Despite our attempts to engage him, we felt met with indifference. Though knowledgeable about the menu, he didn’t seem interested in us as guests.
After more than an hour, we finally received a plate of cold bread, yet we were still waiting for our hors d'oeuvres. No one checked on our drinks or offered us anything to nibble on. We were seated shortly after 7:30, yet it wasn't until 9:00 that our hors d'oeuvres finally arrived.
Our meals arrived around 9:30, but at that point, we could no longer ignore the glaring lack of service. The manager’s demeanor was equally disheartening; he seemed unconcerned and uninterested in making things right. We assured him we weren’t seeking any freebies; we simply wanted the experience we had paid for to match our $800 tab. The stark lack of care eroded our appetite and we longed to leave the unsettling atmosphere behind. Even though we were hungry, we ultimately chose to request to-go boxes, feeling as if we were being rushed away.
They hastily provided us with boxes but didn't bother acknowledging our discomfort—not even a simple apology. It felt surreal, like a cruel joke, and we were the punchline. My sister, overwhelmed, was brought to tears as we attempted to sing her happy birthday, the joy of the occasion overshadowed by the dismal service.
We waited for valet, which was our only courtesy in an evening that should've been about celebration. Left with bags of untouched, cold steaks, we sat in silence, trying to comprehend what had...
Read moreCowford Chophouse My first time visiting, it would probably be my last from the way I was treated by the waitress how he just sat there talked about where he was from how he can’t remember what you ordered comes back to the table. You have to ask him again. We need napkins, paper, napkins he didn’t bring them. I needed a drink. He didn’t bring it. We ordered the order a bottle of champagne he only brought two flutes to the table for a party oof five . We had him to go get more then he proceeded to go to another table and forget what we told him to do. I asked him can he have someone remove the dishes that I already ate out of the dirty dishes he told me that’s not his job. He’ll get someone he talk to the manager, so the manager came over and he told me we don’t remove dirty dishes off tables until everybody is done and we pick them up all together weird to me. Never went to restaurant that was like that I had condensation dripping off the ceiling on my head on my suit . He went and got the manager. The manager proceeds to come over and tell me yes we have a problem here , but you didn’t ask would we like to move into a better spot? I wasn’t looking for a handout. I was looking for good service then the manager came back and told me he got someone it’s about to come over with the long pole and wipe over the top of me when I’m sitting at this table. I said no you’re not gonna wipe while I’m sitting here cause stuff will drop off the roof the ceiling into my drink, Nobody came back and said I apologize for not bringing bread to the table. I apologize for not checking on you guys with water and the worst part about it is when we complain the waitress dropped us and sent somebody else who didn’t know what we had or anything. He just decided he was gonna leave the table, but he’s supposed to be a professional if that was your best top guy next time, give me your worse because at least they would be more concerned about the customer. I don’t mind spending good money for good quality service and good food. I’m a disabled veteran. I work for the city of Jacksonville and I refuse to be treated like someone off the street you can take this however you like, but I earned my respect. I’m 58 years old I didn’t disrespect anybody in there. I called and asked for things that I wanted, but I did not receive it and for your waitress to just walk away and send someone else to my table who don’t have a clue of what we ordered, what we drink or anything that’s not professional . The manager or whoever he was he just said he would take care of it but did nothing. A female was going off on a male back there about food that’s not professional. I was very disappointed. I brought my wife out for her birthday The money I spent for her birthday. I bought her a nice new ring and I choose this place to go give it to her And you guys really messed up my night up , which was very upsetting. I didn’t ask you to give me a discount on my food I just I told the manager that I wanted good service . I’m willing to pay and everything but for you to treat me like I’m someone off the street. I would never want him to serve me again not even at a McDonald’s. I’m already frustrated because my wife feelings was hurt for her birthday dinner. It was messed up and not one manager came to the table to say you guys I would move you to someplace else or your bread and good was still coming . John just walked away and didn’t care at all, The table next came in after we came in and they got bread, water and everything and he was paying good attention to that table . This by far the worst experience I’ve received at any restaurant. Please do better....
Read moreI would like to share my experience at this restaurant last night for 53rd birthday. First let me say I’ve never experienced this type of service at no restaurant I’ve ever dined at. First thing I thought was off was we never received the complementary bread that is usually served with your water while you waited to order , it was an hour into our reservations and it was cold . Which I didn’t eat . I had to ask can we order appetizers , we were never asked . We all ordered drinks upon arrival, which took a while. However the hostess never ever asked did I want another drink the entire evening. At 8:45 we got appetizers. We never received our food until 9:40 to 9:45pm which we ended up boxing up and taking home after the horrible service we received and how late it came out , The manger simply said cook time is slow tonight. If that was the case we were never told that at all . We expected to spend two to three hours for dinner. But not to receive or food at 9.30 , two hours later.I asked the manager why was I not asked or offered anything to drink the entire evening. Everything we got we had to ask for , He stood and looked at me with no answer or apology . I don’t like complaining so I did my best to try and ignore and enjoy my birthday. However I had to say something about this level of service because I was shocked . I will say the appetizers and sides were ok . My steak was not seasoned , fatty cut and not cooked to my preference , which I had to take home to try and eat for around 80 dollars just for the steak . The Texas road house was way better than this . My husband had condensation dripping on his face and suit the entire evening .He tried moving to avoid the water but it couldn’t be avoided from where he was seating . I asked him not to complain but we eventually had to .When we complained to manger he wanted to bring a stick over with a rag while eating to try and drain . Which my husband said not with food and drinks on the table . The most dissatisfied part of the evening for me is when we received another hostess . John simply did not return after being asked why he did not offer or ask us did we need another drink or anything the entire experience. He simply had no response and asked can I get you one at 9:45 , 15 minutes before their closing hours . I responded no what’s the point. He walked no apology never came back. From the many restaurants to choose from we choose this one . Which ruined my birthday , my husband had called ahead and asked that we get a dessert with happy birthday for my special night. I never got that moment I got a piece of cake in a box with no highlight for my special day . It was also our second anniversary which my husband presented with a beautiful upgraded ring to surprise me with . This was not the experience we had hoped for . Our bill was 310.93 , which we paid every bit of . For the type of service we received is sad . Unfortunately we will never return to this establishment. It really bothered me that we was treated this way and how it was handled. We was not a large party it was 5 of us and it was not overly crowded or busy just poor service from beginning to end . John was our waiter . The manager name I forgot bit it didn’t matter because he never came back either after the complaints. We simply left with no one returning. Except the replacement hostess they sent us who said he was simply told to take over . This...
