Decided to try this place before a show one night downtown. When we arrived there were a few people there, but they weren’t busy. We ordered our food right away and found a table. Not long after, they started to get busy. As time went on, I see food coming out of the kitchen to other tables. Several that ordered after we did. Finally I ask about the status of our food and the girl checks on it then tells me “well the cook just yelled at me, but it should be another 5-10 minutes”… like okay it’s already been about 40 minutes for a burger and a Philly cheesesteak, but we wait. 20 minutes later, I go to ask again and hear another lady taking a To Go order. She tells the guy his order will only take about 20 minutes to make while I’ve been waiting over an hour. Finally the food arrives and we have no time to eat so we ask for it to be boxed up. When we get it to our car a few minutes later, we have no condiments and the food is so over cooked it’s inedible. I called the next day to speak with a manager. After telling her my experience, I don’t get a single apology but she does agree to give me a refund “if she can find my order”, and says she’ll text me once it’s done. Never received a text but will definitely but making sure a refund goes through. As someone who works in hospitality, I try to be extra patient and nice to other hospitality workers because I know how tough it can be at times, but this was just ridiculous and didn’t seem one bit like they care about...
Read moreFirst, let me apologize to the staff for interrupting their day. It seems that by becoming the third customer in the place at 5:54pm, I inadvertently pushed them past their capacity to provide service. I’ll admit, I was mildly perturbed when simply being pointed to where the menus and beer lists were stacked at the end of the bar, but when then being told that I needed to order quickly because there was about to be a shift change, my irritation started to grow.
So I quickly ordered a beer and some chicken tenders. My bill was promptly delivered, but the food order seemed to linger. When it arrived, it came with no silverware. No problem, fingers will do. But not having any napkins caused a problem. You see, when chicken is not properly battered and it is cooked in oil that is too cold, the coating slides right off. It may be crispy on one side, but totally soggy on the other. And when accompanied by undercooked fries (not even seasoned with something basic like salt), well, this does not lead to a pleasant dining experience.
So, needless to say, after I was finally able to get some napkins, I finished my beer and left. And I certainly...
Read moreWe actually showed up on Bay Street to go to another bar but ended up at Bay St. instead. The manager Jasmine was the one who invited us in and we are glad she did. We stopped in for drinks and food for our daughter’s birthday. The atmosphere was great for us, no blaring music, not too crowded and good places to sit if you want. We ordered the smash burgers for a couple of the people in our family and then wings first the rest. Burgers are hard to mess up but wings are a different story. To our surprise, the food was outstanding. The burgers were true smash burgers and were very flavorful. The wings were cooked just right, now overly crispy and certainly not chewy. It seems like they use a better quality food than others we had while in town. Also, it was just prepared well. There is a good chef back there. Drinks were reasonable and the food prices were great considering the size of portions, quality and preparation. I won’t hesitate to stop in at Bay St. next time we...
