Read moreVisited a few days ago and the experience was absolutly horrible. During this horrible visit I was checking out reviews for this place and all of them seem to have the same issues I had. The business wasn't even busy, there were only 2 people in front of us. They took about 10-15 minutes just for us to get to the register to take our order. I asked how big the tacos were and they said they were "street tacos" As I have no clue what that is, he showed me with his hands and said they're "pretty good size". We went out back and waited for our food. It came out in about 5 minutes and the taco was the tiniest one I'd ever seen. Literally three bites and it was gone... for a 9 dollar taco!!! After I finished my drink I went back in to grab two more tacos since they were a lot smaller then I'd been told. Same wait for the register, 3 people in front of me and took about 15 minutes to get to the register to order. After I ordered another drink and a few more tacos I moved to the side so others behind me could order. They took their orders and filled their drinks and once the customers were done the individual up front started rinsing glasses. I then piped up and asked if I can get my drink. The individual then asked me what I ordered. 🙄 I literally ordered it from him 15 minutes prior. Anyway, he made my drink and I took my table number 5 back to the back with my group and waited for my food. fast forward about 30 minutes later and one of the employees was walking by and asked if I'm done with the number sign (for my food). to which I told him I was still waiting on my food I ordered about 45 minutes ago. He went back to check on the order and at this point I simply decided to get a refund back. I was told that only one of the tacos was made due to "shift change" and they did apologize. When they went to refund my money, which took a few moments as they only have one register and they were busy with more customers, I was provided a receipt and told it would be refunded to my card. I then looked up and told them I paid in cash. He looked at me, confused and asked if I was order #5 and I confirmed and he still looked confused so I showed him my recent credit card transactions on my phone and none of them were from this taco place. He then refunded my cash. Not sure who they refunded but someone got some free money back. 🤷♂️
TL;DR: Checking out is slow as hell, employees seem extremely distracted, food and drinks are extremely small and overly priced. If I could give zero stars I would. This place has such potential in a great location but they totally bombed on service and price! Stay far away...
Read moreBeware!!!!!!!!!!! I hate to leave bad reviews on places I enjoy. Butttttt.... I enjoy the food from time to time. I remember the 1st time I ordered a fish taco and it literally had nothing on it. I called the server back out like what is this. I tried them again a few more times things were ok no issues. I do think they are definitely overpriced. Went there the other night ordered 6 tacos my total was $61 and some change. 4 shrimp tacos at $8 each and two Brisket tacos at $7 each. The shrimp they serve are small shrimp if they were big the price would be right. I'm like wth so I looked at the receipt. They charged me 20% tip which was like $9 and some change and $1.89 or $1.98 for using my debit card. 🤔🤔🤔🙄🙄 the tacos were $46 got to $61 with tax, card fee, and 20% tip. They are stealing for their own customers who are supporting their business. It's sad I have never had this happen anywhere else is Jax. They did have the 20% tip on a sign I thought it was for if you eat there because maybe people don't tip. But how can you force a to go order to tip and didn't get any service. I stood in line to order my food. Other people were so confused at their total after ordering and looking at their receipt. It's sad
1st off I ordered my food to go why am i being forced to tip when no one gave me service besides taking my order. It was only me, I understand that with big parties and if you are setting down to eat there. Then I waited a very long time for my food. That's not good service and I'm forced to pay for bad service.
2nd, How do you make a customer pay for using a card? I saw a another review on here and his card service price was different than mine. What are the doing in there? This is ridiculous!!! If you can't afford to take cards just take cash only. Should not take it out on customers.
3rd. The tacos are not worth the price they have on them. Don't get me wrong they are good but should be no more than 5 each or 5.50. 7 and 8 is wayyy to high for what they serve.
Beware of the money they steal from you while you are just trying to support their business.
I understand food is high so the price goes up no problem but you turn around and...
