Cuisine 76 and Bar — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I called around to a lot of places for my birthday dinner and a lot of places was not able to seat 14 people on a Sunday at 4p.So I was excited when escape emailed me back and said sure no problem.. However I would rather have gone somewhere that had me sit separately from my friends if it meant better service & food. It took over 30 minutes for the waitress to even see us and ask us for drinks it took another 30 minutes before we received said drinks. We were 1st asked if we wanted appetizers which miniatures which many of us got but she did not come back for another 45 minutes before she asks us what we wanted to eat. That's why you'll see in the picture my food is in a to go Box because I spent over 2 hours at a place received my food. When my mom complained the lady acted confused as to why we wanted a ned a discount my mom did get the discount. But I don't even think we should have had to ask. We let it be known that someone should be helping the young lady who was serving us because it was very clear that she was not a seasoned waitress. For such a large group Gratuity is always on the bill but in this case when it took 2 hoursJust to get our food they should have done better. I only stayed because I felt like if I were to leave it would take that much longer to find another place and wait to be seen. I also really had hoped that the food would be so amazing I'd forget about the piss poor service. Unfortunately that was not the case, the food the food was beyond Underwhelming. I had some of my mom's lamb chops they were very unseasoned the edges burnt. The couscous was ok. I had the pancit as seen in the picture, It was overly salty and drowned in this sauce making the pancit mushy and barely any shrimp. What a disappointment. I wouldn't go back if I had...

I wanted to love this place. I really did. I love Mediterranean food and was so excited to try this place. My fiance and I came in on a Friday night. There were two other tables inside. We sat for 10 minutes before we were greeted with menu. Then another 10-15 before the waiter came to us to tell us "I'll be right back to take your order". Once he finally came back, he immediately asked if we wanted to try to special Moroccan menu they put together. We said we had already made our selections but he said "no this is so good. You have to try this". Selling their dinner special VERY HARD. my fiance caved but I stuck to my guns and ordered something off the regular menu. We ordered cocktails as well. 20 minutes later my boyfriends soup and entree come out. None of mine and neither of our drinks. 15 minutes later my entree comes out and we had to asked again for our drinks...which were awful. The owner? (I'm assuming that's what she was as she was walking around talking to everyone) asked 3 times if we liked the food. Overall, it was ok. The "Moroccan" entree they brought was a large piece of shredded beef in a very thin sauce with French fries soaking in the sauce. French fries. In an "authentic Moroccan dish". They tried to deliver another tables food to our table and then went to another wrong table before returning it to the kitchen. There seemed to be one server for the entire dining room. All in all, not a good experience. Like I said, I really wanted to like this place. It's a beautiful atmosphere. But the service is awful all around and the food is sub par. Came into the restaurant is quaint, it was empty besides two other people. There is a inside dining and an outside dining. Our waitress seemed a bit new because every time I ask a question she would say she would have to go check. I ordered a Long Island iced tea top shelf it was just OK for me. Food arrives……… dry, dry, Sahara desert dry, you need water to swallow dry! I ordered the shrimp and chicken and the chicken was so dry I could barely get it down my throat my husband ordered the lamb the lamb was so dry! you needed water to get it down your throat I would not, would not, recommend this restaurant at all!! Our waitress wasn’t attentive AT ALL!!!! The owner of the restaurant came over and asked how things were when she saw us looking around ready to check out I advised her that the food was very dry she apologized and walked off. For the prices that they charge here the food should be way better I would not again would not recommend this restaurant…but on a better note the drinks were strong 💪 oh for some reason NO ONE is at the host podium so when people come in and see the sign wait to be seated they are left hanging. The owner came back out before we were leaving and gave us a discount on our food advised us that she did talk to the cook and apologized profusely so I think that I will probably give this restaurant another chance but right now my review is what it is but I let the owner know that I appreciate what she did as far as the Discount and then coming back out to let us know that she did talk...
