Like many chain establishments this place is a victim of its employees. As with all Jason's Deli locations the food was abundant and at the level you would expect. The problem here, and it is potentially a very serious problem, is the general condition of the restaurant and attitude of the employees.
First, the place is dirty. I dont just mean cluttered with unbusted tables or food droppings on the floor. (Both of which can be found at this store.) The food serving, drinks area, and salad bar are not clean. There was "grime" or some type of buildup on the ice/soda machine. The ice cream machine looked like it literally had not been cleaned in a week. If these are the conditions you can see imagine what is going on in back in the food prep and dish cleaning areas. YIKES!
Second, the employees were truly bizarre. Out of at least eight people we encountered only one young lady seemed to care a bit about the job at hand. While we were treated fine by her we saw crazy behavior exhibited by others.
We arrived an hour before closing and some if the employees were clearly prepping the restaurant for closing. After our arrival three more parties came in to dine. At 30 minutes before closing a group of five entered and approached the cashier to place the order. They were not met with a standard greeting. Instead a flurry of activity by three young male employees began. They were shouting back to someone in the kitchen (presumably the manager) clearly angry a party had entered to dine 30 minutes before closing.
If I owned this franchise I would be furious. Money coming in the door 30 minutes before closing is just as valuable as money 30 minutes after opening.
Wow- do not go here until this place has a...
Read moreLet’s start with having to wait 7-10 minutes before being helped at the register when we walked in. Only two people, both visibly behind the counter. One busy, one not. We asked the one not busy to help, he told us he didn’t know how to work the register, so we’ll have to wait for the busy guy. Sigh.
Moving on, I ordered the salad bar and a New York Yankee (combination of corned beef and pastrami on rye). I used to be able to get it Detroit style on an onion roll with swiss and mustard, wet (a little fatty meat to make it juicier). I was told they stopped selling onion rolls (WHY?!? Isn’t this a deli?!?), and the potions are prepackaged (so I can’t ask for fatty meat, let alone an even portion of corned beef and pastrami). I’m hungry, and we’re here, so let’s go—just give it to me the way YOU want.
I thoroughly enjoyed the salad bar. Always fresh, always very good. That sandwich wasn’t fit for even a pauper like me! SMH, it was dry, sliced like Hillshire Farms lunch meat, paper tasting…it seemed like imitation meat! Shame. It used to be ALMOST as good as Bread Basket back home. Look at the photos, I’ll show you the difference.
Lastly, no one ever came to ask if we needed anything, we were almost leaving before they bussed the table behind us that was needing to be bussed when we got there. We fought gnats to eat our paper mache sandwich…I’m over the whole function! 😠

Read moreApparently when you make an online order you are expected to call the restaurant to request order as well even though when I went to call it offered online order and once completed said they received order and were preparing it, would be done in 10 mins. I get there in about 18mins. I told them I made an online order. He said you didn't call. I said no. So he continues to complain about how I didn't call and just showed up to another employee right in front of me. Didn't have the order even started which was not a problem. They were out of a couple items which was fine as well. It was our first time there so we were just excited to try them out and my family is very easy going. Later my card was processing for more than I tipped. When calling the next day the guy that I spoke with said it was probably because I didn't leave at least a 15% tip so the system adjusted the tip even tho I left more than that and it was only a to go order for a wrap, sandwich, kids meal and a dessert. I've never in my life seen or heard of this and I was in service industry for many years. Food was ok and prices weren't bad but we will not be back. The amount was corrected but the staff is rude and very unprofessional and will not get my business after the way I...
