I've attached an image of my original review from 6 months ago. What a drastic change this business has made in the past six months and not in a good way. I ordered food off the the app on the website "Chow Now" I arrived at the restaurant and was told their "Chow Now" terminal is broken and they dont have my order. So they re-entered my order. 1 person working in the kitchen making to go orders and cooking for guests in the restaurant. At one point the cook asked another woman to help out and she stepped into run the fryers reluctantly. One item from my order was put into a bag and sat for 40 minutes before the rest of my order was complete. I wish I took a pic of my new order the portion of the blackened baja fish bowl was far less then the usual. Unfortunately they cooked my sweet potato fries in the same oil they fry fish in, so of course they tasted like fish. The plantains were burnt. Definitely not the experience I am used to from Jimmy Hula's. It was probably around 2pm Sunday afternoon so the fact that my shoe was sticking to the floor and the soda machines facing the customers were filthy it seems they don't clean daily. This business needs a mature responsible manager every day it is opened because what they have going on now is a recipe for disaster. $46 for lunch is a lot and the fact they have their customers directed on their website to use an app that upcharges and doesnt work is not great for business. Sadly my 5 star review has been changed to 1 star and I would definitely not recommend this location until they make some drastic changes.

I recently visited Jimmy Hula's in Oakleaf Town Center in Jacksonville, Florida and I it was a great experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the lively and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and had a great vibe that made me feel instantly comfortable. The menu at Jimmy Hula's is amazing, especially if you're a fan of tacos and bowls. There was a great selection of both, and the ingredients were fresh and high-quality. I was particularly impressed by the wide range of options, from classic chicken and beef tacos to more adventurous options like the Baja fish taco. The bowls were also fantastic, with a variety of delicious toppings to choose from. The bar at Jimmy Hula's is top-notch. They had a great selection of beer and cocktails, and the bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. I also loved the outdoor patio, which was a great place to relax and enjoy a drink. What's even better about Jimmy Hula's is that it's kid-friendly. The restaurant had a great atmosphere for families, with plenty of space for kids to play and enjoy themselves. I could see that the staff was very accommodating to families, and they made sure that everyone had a great time. Overall, I would highly recommend Jimmy Hula's in Oakleaf Town Center to anyone looking for a great meal in a lively and welcoming environment. The menu is fantastic, the bar is great, and the patio is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy your food and drinks. Don't miss out on this gem of a restaurant!

Ordered the Burnt Reynolds burger for me, Surfin Cali burrito for my teen and chicken fingers for my 5 yo. The teen got a taco too. I don’t remember which one but it really doesn’t matter because everything was AMAZING! The Baja sauce was a big win and the sweet potato fries were delicious. Quality of fresh cooked food was delightfully unexpected. Atmosphere was great if you’re into the surf theme (Floridian here so, YES!). Service was great too from the ordering process to the staff who came to check on us after we seated ourselves and were into our meals. They also pick up the table afterwards which was a nice touch but it made me notice a lack of garbage cans as I’m used to doing my own clean up at this type of place. I guess it’s like a relaxed vibe with a considerable touch of posh. Overall really enjoyed everything about this experience. Worth mentioning is the cute little bar (unattended when we were there), outside seating and several TVs with different channels on. I’m not one to be concerned with price when the food is this good but for those who are interested I think I spent around $50 for three and a half meals, three drinks and at least a 20% tip. Well worth it.

Horrible! First time ever going to this place and I doubt my family or I will ever go back. The entire experience was just awful and not what we were expecting. First, we weren't expecting to place our order at the door with a cashier, as we thought we were eating at an actual restaurant, but we still decided to give a go. Then, we decided to sit outside to find out that the waitresses that are staffed not only do not wait on you "as in take your order" they also do not serve your beverages either, so I had get up every time I wanted to have a beer. This was annoying considering that the bar is not even set up like an actual bar and it just seems pointless to have waitresses staffed just to bring my food out and clear the table. Lastly, the worst part of all was that after my family (party of 5)was ready to order I went ahead and wrote the order down as if I were the waitress and took it up to the cashier so it would all get entered at once thinking we would get our food all together. Nope, the complete opposite happened. They sent every singe item out at separate times starting with the veggie taco that literally was made in two minutes and the biggest item (steak bowl) came out last, which ended up being 20 minutes. My family does not eat like that, to us that's just rude! I attempted to tell the manager about the problem, but that was a complete waste of time because he just blamed it on the cooks and kept repeating the excuses as to why that happened. Basically trying to say that they lost the ticket for the bowl, which was a lie because it was all on the same ticket. Please note that not only was this our first time, but we also were there trying to celebrate my younger brothers birthday.

The only nice thing about this place was that my dog was welcome. The could have been good, but but the time I tried to eat...

Decided to try this place since it opened up by our house in the Oakleaf Towncenter. Really was excited to try their menu since I heard their food was awesone. The atmosphere was really cool with a Hawaiian surf kinda vibe. Upon ordering we had some questions as to the food items and I quickly found to my disappointment all the sauces the have on their menu have a mayo base. This was disheartening since I cannot do mayo and was kinda let down that they didn't have anything without it in their signature sauces. That being said my wife and daughter placed their orders and I placed mine without said sauces and went to take a seat. Here's where things went from bad to worse, my food quickly came out, and i patiently waited for my wife and daughter to come out but it never came. 15 min after mine came I asked about theirs and was told that it cones out as it's prepared. I again questioned why would they all not come out the same time since the order was all placed at the same time. The girl apologized and said that she would look j to it. I sat back down now my food was stone cold since I was not about to eat in front of my 7 yr old daughter and wife without them having theirs. 20 min after getting my food my daughters arrived then my wife's finally arrived another 10 min after that and it was wrong! Even though mine was cold I ate it anyway, and was less than impressed. Needless to say I won't be back, if you do decide to give them a try then better not be in a hurry because you are definitely going to wait a while to...
