HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & OVERPRICED ,OVERCOOKED FOOD Went in to Panera Oakleaf July 30 th around 9 15pm for dinner with my family of 4. After ordering $66 of Soup and sandwiches I have noticed on their pastry section there was 12 desert items left and I asked the cashier to see if I can buy them all and to see if I can get one or maybe two for free since they are about to close in 15 minutes (and I was willing to pay for at least 10 of them which would be around $30) Her response was NO that I had to pay full price for all the 12 items then I kindly asked her what do they do with these pastries if it is not sold by the time they are closed . Her response was they either throw it away or they Donate it I decided not to buy pastries paid my $66 for soup and grilled cheese sandwiches and sat down on a table across from the kitchen then I saw the manager lady making my food so I approached her about the pastries and before I even finished my question she shot me down and said everything is full price regardless if it’s closing time. I said no problem and sat back down Then we got our food broccoli cheddar soup,was lukewarm and 4 cheese grilled cheese sandwich was over cooked where it hurt my teeth to bite in to it needles to say I got very disappointed and little bit of angry but I didn’t want to cause a problem so we left without eating our food and I didn’t even ask for a refund.and as I was leaving I looked at the pastry counter and they were all gone but they were there 5 minutes prior We ended up going to drive thru McDonald’s and finish our dinner with fast food In conclusion dinner between Panera and mc Donald’s cost me over $100 and Instead of Panera selling me the items Either they threw it away or one of their employees took it home and they were being rude about it . Read moreMy wife and I were out for and about for a relaxing weekend. We love having lunch at Panera normally. However, we’ve noticed the service at this location had gone down hill here recently. Today was the best example. There was not a lot of people in the restaurant, I placed my order and received the order like normal. I noticed the Mac & cheese serving was less than normal. I let it go. I paid for extra steak and received the same amount as my wife. I let it go. I bit into my hot sandwich and it was cold. I brought my sandwich up front and spoke a kind young man (Ali) who was very professional who notified the manager. This who seemed as if he could care less, gave excuses with a tone as I explained the issues with my order. With a tone and lack of concern he advised he would replace the order. Ali came to the table, apologized for the order and offered a bakery item. Very professionally. Ali later brought out the order again and apologized again. I opened the sandwich and touched the center of the meat and it was ice cold. I brought the sandwich back to the manager who seemed to be bothered by me second trip instead of being concerned. I explained that the sandwich was also cold and I would just like a refund for the sandwich. He said okay, took the plate and walked towards the register. At this point I was done with the location and had made up my mind not to return again. But Ali came by with the refund, sincerely apologized for the order, thanks us for coming in and asked for the opportunity to please visit again and he would do his best to ensure that we receive better service. I was floored that this young man had better customer service managerial edict than the manager. I will return because of this young man. If I have an opening to hire someone, I am going to seek him out and offer him a job. Great Job Ali!! You have a bright future...

The app’s functionality was impressive, allowing me to track my order status step by step, from confirmation to preparation, and even showing the driver’s name and delivery progress.
For my order, I tried a variety of items: Spinach and Bacon Soufflé (no customization)
Limited-Time Spicy Steak Asiago Bagel Stack (customized with light caramelized onions, mixed greens, sliced pepperoni, and Greek dressing on the side)
Limited-Time Spicy Zesty Tuscan Asiago Bagel Stack (customized with light caramelized onions, mixed greens, everything bagel seasoning, mayo, and Salsa Verde spread on the side)
The food itself was amazing—great flavors and presentation! However, there were a couple of issues. My on-the-side condiments and pepperoni were missing, which slightly impacted the experience. Additionally, while the app is great for managing orders, I wish it had features to message the store about issues or rate the delivery driver.
Overall, Panera Bread’s app and food were enjoyable, but addressing these small issues could make it even better. I’d definitely order again—just with the hope for those finishing...
