This restaurant is snazzy, creative, and happy.
In all, I wish to make up the charge for a large bag of not too greasy chips and large side of salsa for take out to enjoy for a couple of days.
Their salsa is consistently good and the server makes fresh, spicy tableside guacamole which is spicier depending on how many and how much the jalapeños are smashed. When not needing to eat as much avocado, I like being able to enjoy their small side of guacamole on their fajita salad while requesting a side of fresh jalapeños. Their queso is smooth and good.
The chef prepares a generous, well seasoned chicken taco accompanied by special salsa. I enjoy their light, sweet, and crispy sopapillas for an occasional special treat. Their standard sometimes house-made tortillas with fajita inside are a nice large portion, personalizable sharing and I often choose chicken. I request light pepper within the same fajita ratio and for the peppers and onions to be nicely cubed to be a more nicely incorporated dish.
They appear friendly, do not always like socializing and feedback, and like to help direct. I wish I could enjoy their good food in peace, to not visit too much when I’m in a rush, and for trained staff that do not change the menu too much during ordering after arrival. I appreciate their convenient take out.
I really generally enjoy fajitas with poblano pepper, corn, and melted cheese. Therefore, I wish to try their fajitas oxaca with melted Mexican string cheese. I request no cooked tomatoes with my fajitas and only the tomatoes which come fresh with the salad. Also, I wish to request and purchase for a small charge a side of cup jalapeños to add.
For another meal option, what would a deconstructed beef taco salad for take out look like with salsa on the side for dipping the shell where the salad, protein, and shell are separate?
When looking for a nice dish, I really enjoy their fabulous pollo relleno which includes fresh elements with melted cheese.
After editing and requesting my meal order, I ask for the price of the...
Read moreDo not order uber eats. I’ve ordered from them 4 times because they are right across the street from where I live and their food is good. However, I finally got tired of getting the wrong order so I decided to bring it to their attention. Went back to the restaurant and explained I ordered a chicken enchilada and I keep getting beef. They explained to me that it is an up charge for chicken but uber doesn’t do the up charge on their side. So they see that it should be a chicken enchilada but since it isn’t charging, they are deliberately using beef instead. Also, when you go to rate your order and make a comment about this, they’ve also made it so you can not go back and see your virtual receipt to do so. Just thought that was pretty awful business practice especially because most people wouldn’t go back to figure out the issue and realize it’s deliberately done and it’s the restaurants fault for not changing the price on the app but instead of fixing the problem they deliberately give you the wrong order. You’d think you’d stop using uber as a business if they can’t update your prices, that was the excuse the manager gave anyway. The manager also recommended I stopped using uber eats and just to call but no one ever answers the phone. That’s why I came to the restaurant in the first place as well; because they wouldn’t pick up the phone… which could be blamed on how busy the business was but when we came into the restaurant it wasn’t busy at all. There were two guys at the host stand staring at their phones. Was just really disappointed. The food was pretty disappointing this time as well. The chorizo con queso was maybe 20% queso and 80% oil. Seems like they’ve lost integrity or maybe they...
Read moreLooking for Hispanic food and came across this place. Oddly configured building. Back of place faces main road with heavily tinted windows. Place was spacious with large rustic dining area and small bar. Our server was extremely nice but lacked professionalism. We were served chips and salsa within minutes of being seated. The chips were thick and the salsa homemade with just a little to much cilantro for my taste. We ordered the beef nachos supremo for an appetizer. It was a mess in no time. The ground beef mixed with beans and sour cream turned it into soup. We used the rest of our initial chips to eat nachos. Ordered the fajita burrito while another the combo enchilada plate. Service took a nosedive after order was placed. He spent most of our time seated at table near entrance rolling silverware or on his phone. It wasn't until we were nearly finished that he checked on us. Back to main course - the burrito was covered in white cheese. The well seasoned filling was good but pieces of steak were chewy. The enchiladas were tasty with the chicken being the best of the four. Would definitely give it another go and adjust order...
