Milanos Italian Restaurant Attn: Customer Service 12620 Beach Blvd Jacksonville, FL 32246
Dear Milano's Italian Restaurant Management,
I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration regarding my recent experience at your location at 12620 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32246. This visit, intended as a special celebration for my fiancee's birthday, turned out to be a complete letdown.
I have been a loyal patron of Milano's Italian Restaurant, primarily frequenting the Jacksonville Beach location at 1504 3rd St. North, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. The experiences at the beach location have always been delightful, filled with laughter, and highlighted by the owner's generous expressions of appreciation for our continued support.
Regrettably, my recent visit to the Beach Blvd location was a stark contrast to the positive encounters I've had in the past. Despite calling ahead to confirm table availability and receiving seemingly accurate information about closing times, the reality upon arrival was disheartening. Arriving at 9 pm, there was a lack of any greeting, and when attempting to take a seat at an open table, we were abruptly informed that the lobby was closed, and only takeout orders were being accommodated.
This abrupt change in protocol was particularly frustrating given the assurances received during the phone call moments before arriving. Such inconsistencies marred what should have been a celebratory evening. I expected the same level of service and ambiance that I have grown accustomed to at the Jacksonville Beach location, but unfortunately, this was not the case.
I feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention, as it not only affected our plans but also tarnished the reputation I had associated with Milano's Italian Restaurant. I urge you to address the issues encountered during my visit to ensure that other patrons do not face similar disappointments.
In conclusion, I strongly recommend revisiting the policies and communication practices at the Beach Blvd location to align them with the level of service and warmth that I have come to associate with Milano's Italian Restaurant.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope that you take the necessary steps to rectify these issues and restore the positive dining experience that Milano's Italian Restaurant...
Read moreVisited this location with my wife and daughter. When we arrived we saw the please wait to be seated sign. We were left standing there for 10 minutes and another party came in behind us. Eventually a busser said: "We don't have booths available." Great, we didn't ask for a booth, we just wanted to be seated. He gestured at two empty tables and told us to pick one and the other party that walked in behind us could take the other. We sat down and waited another 20 minutes before a server even arrived to take a drink order. We waited an additional 10 minutes before our drinks even arrived. We got our food order in and waited for our appetizer. The appetizer did arrive quick, we ordered the bruschetta which was very good and set some high expectations for the rest of our meal.
We finished our bruschetta and waited for our main course. The party that was seated after us received their food 20 minutes before we did and was finished with their meal before we even got ours. Our main course took over 45 minutes to reach our table despite us seeing it sitting on the counter waiting to be brought to us. Our server spent most of her time at the payment kiosk or at any tables that didn't have children making us feel awfully ignored. Eventually another server did bring our food over and while it tasted good it wasn't much different from any other pizza restaurant. The food hardly deserved the $90 before tip price that we were charged. All the while, we were only able to get one drink refill in our 2 hours at the restaurant, our child is very well behaved and will spend her entire time coloring at a table. It hardly justified the lack of attention from our server.
All in all, me and my wife always believe in tipping despite the service, but we honestly considered not leaving anything. The food hardly was worth the price and honestly I cannot recommend this restaurant. You get takeout pizza restaurant quality and they demand upscale pricing. Save your money and...
Read moreCASH is KING ! After returning from out of town for a year, I was pleased to get back to Milano's excellent food. I don't even know if it is possible to put up enough signage or enough notice on the receipt to prevent people from unknowingly paying the HIGHER CREDIT CARD PRICE. So they got me. It was surprisingly crowded for a late dinner on a Tuesday. But the service and food were excellent as usual. Spaghetti was well prepared and the chicken parmesam was still perfectly crispy even after sitting beneath the cheese and sauce topping for the 10 minutes it took me to eat the accompanying spaghetti side dish. The bread was delicious and fresh. Portions are still nice. I briefly looked at the receipt before habitually pulling out my credit card and then sent it off with the waiter. Once it was returned I noticed it had a cash vs non-cash price! I was of course paying the higher non-cash price because it was too late to pay cash at that point. So just BE AWARE, I have heard this is a growing trend to basically charge a surcharge on credit purchases. I had run into this while working in Missouri lately. Since, You are interacting with a live person at your table, it would be nice if they could cue you, when you pull out your credit card, that there is a different price for it, just in case you'd prefer to pay cash in that circumstance. Unfortunately, it is a buyer beware situation in most places. So I try to make people aware in my reviews when a business charges extra for credit, just so they know. After the government pushing us all to go cashless to save the planet, now they are charging us the fees for going cashless. I'll be making a trip to the bank for some cash, if they...
