If I could give 0 I would. First let me say that the people who work there are just great. They are always nice. The problem with Jacksonville Starbucks is the ice espresso coffees. I have tried different ones and each time it's the same outcome. So I tested a theory. I went to Starbucks in the following places: Nacogdoches, 2 in Tyler, Henderson, and Lufkin. At each of these places I ordered either a blond latte ice drink or a different kind of espresso iced drink. When I asked for an extra pump of syrup, it always sweetened the drink. Always.
However, at the Jacksonville location, the third time I went after two previous attempts, I had to ask for 3 pumps of extra syrup in a very light blond drink and it was still disgusting. Still tasted of incredibly strong espresso. So the next time I went I asked for just one shot of espresso and one extra pump in the iced blond vanilla latte. It was bland and disgusting. I switched things up to coconut milk creamer, oatmilk creamer, nothing helps those drinks there. It tastes like plain iced coffee, water, and flavor with no sweetness AT ALL. It doesn't matter what drink you get either, because I tried the matcha latte and it tasted like herbs and water, and this was after prompting them to add 2 pumps of toffee syrup in it.
The final straw was today's drink, because I wanted to still give it a chance. I asked for the brown sugar iced espresso with one 1 espresso and one extra pump brown sugar which made 5 pumps. I think they put about a quarter of plain water in the cup, 5 espressos, and one pump brown sugar. Then, I asked for no foam and I end up with a cup full of foam at the top. I went home and scooped it out, it was no use troubling them because I won't be back. I gave up and went to store and bought the Dunkin iced coffee mix to make at home. I am one of those people who get espresso drinks for the effect, not the flavor. I study for hours and hours on end and the espresso boost helps, but if I want to actually taste it I would come to Starbucks and order a Red Eye drink, not a sweetened (that's never sweetened) type of drink.
My Starbucks days are over lol I will either make it at home or try mom-n-pop coffee shops but no more Starbucks, especially Jacksonville, but I do appreciate the customer service. I do however think the store's supplies are watered down or maybe their vendor is not selling them potent syrups or something. I don't know, but no matter how you try to reformulate the espresso drinks, they are never good, they use way too much espresso even with one supposed shot and if they are actually giving you the amount of pumps of syrups that you ask for, then something is wrong with...
Read moreAbsolutely would not recommend this location to anyone. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a Starbucks. Pulled up in the drive thru and there were only 3 cars. Gave my order and pulled up then sat in the same spot for 30 mins…which is really irritating being that there is no way to get out of the drive thru either. About 10 min later (which makes 40 min of being here now) I make it to the window and pay then after 5 min of sitting at the window I asked the guy that took my payment (which claimed he was a barista but was just walking in circles not doing anything) ..“how much longer on my 2 drinks because I have been sitting in the drive thru for over 40 minutes?” The guy then just continues to walk around then comes back and said “oh they’re starting them right now”… by this time I had been at the window for almost 10 minutes and they’re just now starting them??? About an hour to being at this same location I finally get 1 drink…which was wrong. I then asked for a refund for the extra charges since it was wrong and napkins to wipe the whipped cream dripping off the side. They then give me my card back and said can we help you with any else…”my drinks??” He then replied laughing and saying “oh I thought you didn’t want them” I said yes I just wanted a refund for the extra charges since my order was wrong and he said “oh well we already threw the drinks out” ….. an hour of being here and I didn’t even get my order nor have I received my refund....
Read morePlaced a mobile order for one hot drink and one cold drink. Waited several minutes after arrival and was handed my one hot drink. I told the guy working that I’m waiting for another drink as I saw that nobody was working on that one. He snapped at me and told me I was just going to have to wait a minute while he proceeds to serve people coming in placing the order. I told him I place a mobile order for a reason. To avoid this right here. I understand everyone doesn’t have to keep to their schedules but I do that’s why I order ahead. He stopped and made my cold drink and slid across the counter very aggressively without saying a word. I asked the other barista to please my drink because I didn’t want that man handling my order at that point. I’ll also take this time to mention that if you are going to allow facial hair on employees it should at the very least be clean and well maintained. I have been to several Starbucks locations across the state and have never been treated so aggressively or rude at any of them except this one. Only good thing I can say is Jacksonville isn’t my home location and I won’t ever...
