We decided to come here after seeing the incredible pictures under their reviews and on their website. Also, as a vegan and being unable to consume dairy products, we were so happy to see that their menu was labeled as vegan friendly, and they had options! As we opened the door, we were so happy to see a sign telling customers to make their team aware of any allergies. This made us feel very comfortable that the staff was aware of allergens and ingredients, just adding to our excitement! When we got to the register to place our order, it was obvious that the staff was not aware of allergens and vegan options, despite their menu having "v" labeled on things. They were asking ME if an item was vegan. I just ended up omitting items that came with the Milk and Cookies specialty ice cream just to be safe. FYI, lactose-free whipped cream is not vegan because it's still animal-derived. It was not a good product. They use low-quality ingredients to make it look Instagramable. The whole concept of the store is to share pictures of their item. They promote a high-quality product, but it's really not. They used Betty Crocker chocolate icing to stick the Cookie Crisp cereal to the jar. The ice cream was bland. You tell yourself that you like the product to combat buyers' remorse and justify paying $18 for an item. I got a Mason jar out of this experience.

We went here after having lunch next door at Hopdoddy. It was Monday at 1 in the afternoon and we got there just after opening time. The doors were locked so we decided to go next door and do some shopping as this place was on our list for the Alphabet restaurant tour. When we came back there was 1 person (literally a teenage girl) working on the inside with about 15 people inside who had already ordered or were waiting to order. It took about 30 minutes for us to place our order and another 10-15 before our order came out. We ordered the Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss and I can honestly say this was one of the worst deserts I’ve ever had. The brownie was definitely not fresh and the peanut butter tasted old, even the chocolate shavings tasted old. The whipped cream was just okay but the shake- it all tasted like the products used to make it were old and almost rancid- It was awful! Now this place has been on our list to try all year so we were truly looking forward to it but it did not live up to the hype. They definitely need to have more than 1 person working in there because waiting 45 minutes for an $18 milkshake is absolutely ridiculous. I will give this place another try and order a different shake hoping this was an off day, but for now, my review stands.

Great twist on an ice cream shop. If you want a different experience, more than the normal scoop and bowl or a cone....THIS IS THE PLACE!!! 1. The Ice cream is different, and the milk shakes are killer! Please go with an open mind and not just expecting Ice cream and a cone.....Desert that requires lots of napkins....I love it!!! 2. Because it's different, it takes time to make...I'm OK with this because everything is made to order and handmade. Yes, if it's busy you will wait, but they have signs up everywhere, letting you know it will take 20 mins!! 3. Because it has limited seating and the Ice cream is so extreme and there is always a line, it makes it more enjoyable to go because we can't fo as often. So when we get a chance to go it a fun night out! 4. The people are super nice and helpful even when it's slammed. They bring the ice cream out to you and will explain how things work if it is your first time. 5. I like that this is not to go, again it makes it a different experience. You have to go there and stay there to eat it. Not everything is to go and always in a rush. Take the time to enjoy it! I hate cookie cutter, I hate the same process at every place you go. So when somewhere is different and changes the mundane up, I LOVE IT!! ❤️

Product and prices: The ice cream was good. The specialty milkshakes and sundaes are unlike anything I've seen elsewhere, but we didn't try those. They look tasty. I was a little disappointed that the only gluten free milkshake option was cereal flavored, and I'm allergic to fruity pebbles, the cereal they use. Personally, I prefer desserts with chocolate, peanut butter, vanilla, or caramel flavors over fruity flavors. I have to eat gluten free due to a gluten allergy. They have a few gluten free ice cream flavors. I also noticed, they have 2 vegan ice cream flavors.

Credit card fee: They charge a 3.5% card fee if you don't pay in cash. My mom paid in cash and we didn't realize the 3.5% card fee was still charged even though we paid in cash. I think the person who took our order was new, so this may have been a mistake of pressing the wrong menu item (benefit of the doubt, I'm thinking there's 2 of every menu item one with the cash price and one with the card price, maybe 🤷🏼‍♀️).

Service: She was pleasant and friendly. She noticed and fixed mistakes by herself quickly (all qualities I would want in an employee). She had to correct a couple of things on our order because she accidentally pressed the cookie dough version instead of the ice cream version of the same flavor. She said they were next to each other in the list (I'm assuming alphabetically). We accidentally got charged twice for a treat (which she caught and fixed with the manager's assistance before we got our receipt & change). Overall, I think she's still in the learning curve...

While I love the concept and the washing station for the jars is definitely a bonus, our experience was not up-to-par with our expectations.

After four previous tries earlier this week, we finally got to order a milkshake today on our fifth try. The wait was short, and the staff was kind.

When we got our milkshake, the presentation was impeccable. It almost looked too good to eat. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We got the Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss. The brownie on top of the milkshake was excellent, but the actual milkshake has an extreme metallic taste to it. As gross as it sounds, it tasted like when you have a cut in your mouth; straight iron. We assumed it was from the blender, but after a few sips, both of us agreed it tasted like literal metal.

I went to the washing station, rinsed our jar, and another customer asked how we liked our milkshake. I told him, “It tasted like metal.” And he said, “My wife said the same thing!”

So obviously this is happening to multiple people.

It is a little concerning considering this place specializes in milkshakes, and yet the only thing I could taste was the blender.

UPDATE: After a few hours, my boyfriend and I both started feeling sick to our stomachs. It has now been 24 hours and I’m still sick in bed from this milkshake.

I’m very concerned about what made the milkshake taste metallic in the first place, and now I’m very concerned because I have been sick to my stomach for 24 hours now.

This place needs to work out it’s kinks before it makes more...

I honestly had great things to say about this place from previous visits but after this Halloween night, I can honestly say this is the most I've felt disrespected by an establishment specially on a holiday night. Their hours said closing at 10pmand nothing indicated that hours may vary during Halloween. I arrived at 9:10pm and the doors were locked, which I get that means they're closed and I wanted to just inquire at what time did they close so that I know for for the future. I was ignored for about 110-15 mins at the door while it was cold out and the male worker wanted to come and help but the female with him was so rude and told him to completely ignore us and they both just kept going as if I was invisible. Then I tried calling and when they saw it was me I was again ignored and bluntly hung up on then on my second call the female finally picked up the phone with the fakes customer service voice ever acting all innocent and saying that the sign on the dor indicates they're closed for the night and that it's not safe to open the doors after dark and I said all I wanted is to be acknowledged at the bare minimum and I understand they can't unlock the doors but they should have treated me better and then she says from their view, they can't know for sure whether I'm a woman or a man and at the end of it didn't even apologize for the gross mistreatment.Never thought I would say this, but customer service was terrible tonight and I don't know if I would ever come back after the way I've...
