I cannot overstate how thoroughly impressed I am with the crew at The Escape Game! We had two (TWO!) full groups of 10-11 year olds (plus one adult for each group). This was part of a double birthday celebration, so we were able to work with The Escape Room to use their party room as well (a great space that allowed us to bring in snacks and cake even!). My initial inquiry and working with Caroline before our reservations who made everything super seamless and was such a huge help answering all of our questions and helping with logistics and booking, along with getting us waiver links for all of the friends attending - she was just a pleasure to work with! Then, on the day of our escape rooms - well, you can imagine the chaos that 14 kiddos can bring to the location! The staff was amazing, just super patient and kind all around. I didn't catch the front desk attendee's name (unfortunately), but he dealt with a lot of excitement and loud voices before the rooms began and did it all with a smile. We had an unfortunate incident with some of our refreshments in the party room, and Jared was so helpful and efficient as he helped clean it up. We had two rooms - Gold Rush and Playground - booked. Ali and Ellie led the way, and made the experiences unforgettable. They worked like old pros, even gently offering to provide clues when the kids were on the wrong path but not thinking to actually request any. They seemed to understand the groups they were working with and how best to help without being intrusive and somehow both groups managed to escape in the nick of time (one group with just 3 seconds left!) - I'm guessing that they know that a group of kids will probably need a bit more push than adults, and they did it all so well. This was my (and most of the group's) first escape room and I can't imagine going anywhere else in the future. Highly, highly recommend and it's all because of a great staff (although the rooms were super cool too!). Thanks for everything! We'll definitely be back (with fewer kiddos and chaos...
Read moreWe recently tried The Heist escape room and unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming compared to others we’ve done. • We didn’t like being paired with random players. At first, the group dominated the game and we felt awkward trying to get involved. We were told only two other people would be joining us, but instead five extra players were added. And for the high price... having extra people is crazy and so not worth it! While my son was eventually able to help (thanks to his long reach), it felt like we had to push our way into the game rather than being welcomed into it. • The game itself was much easier than expected. Online it was listed as 8/10 in difficulty, but we finished in just 35 minutes. The unlimited hints also took away much of the challenge and excitement. • At the end, the other team members (strangers) left without taking photos and were a bit snippy when we invited them to join the photo (total vibe killers), which is fine, but we also weren’t given a “We Escaped” sign or any props for our own victory photo. That made the win feel lackluster. It also didn’t feel as fun or rewarding to celebrate with a group of strangers who weren’t interested in celebrating together. After other escape rooms, we’ve always left excited, talking about all the fun moments, and wanting to do another right away. This time, my 17- and 20-year-old turned down my offer for a second room. They said it was too easy, they didn’t like being paired with five strangers, and they didn’t even talk about the experience afterward. Overall, we were hoping for a fun, challenging, and memorable family activity, but the pairing with strangers, the lack of difficulty, and the absence of a celebratory photo made this escape room fall flat...
Read moreI just wanted to take a moment to praise Maddi and Lauren for their exceptional service during our visit. It was my first time going to an escape room and we choose the Prison Break room which is a 9/10 difficulty level. I went with another friend as a party of two and we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to solve it. Side note: We didn’t make the prison break 😂 but it was so much fun and Maddi and Lauren reassured us that if we had just 10 more minutes we would’ve solved it as we had made it into the last room before the time had run out. So sincerely we truly appreciated how helpful and kind they were throughout the entire experience. Not only did they assist us when we needed it, but they also went above and beyond by showing us the other rooms, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Their enthusiasm and dedication really made our visit unforgettable. They absolutely deserve recognition for their hard work in fact, I believe they deserve a raise! Thank you, Maddi and Lauren, for making our escape room experience so memorable. We will definitely rebook to try to escape another...
