I came to this establishment around 7:30 pm on 08/20/2023. I came in through the front door and there was a man sitting at a table near the front entrance. He looked up at me and didn’t say anything. Then he looked back down. Not even two minutes later a Caucasian woman came in through the side door entrance. The man at the table spoke to her as soon as she entered. He said hello welcome in ! I assumed he was a manager or owner. How do you speak to one customer but do not greet your other customers? Both my mom and I came into this restaurant together. Neither of us were greeted by this man. He did not appear to know her. Even if he did you should treat all your customers the same. Did he think that I wouldn’t notice this? He was so friendly and welcoming to her. His whole demeanor changed. Turns out he was the owner. The disrespect from these restaurants because of the color of your skin is insane. The woman at the counter who was a heavy Caucasian woman spoke but was very rude! She had a attitude from jump and I really should have walked out. I have been to this business a few times and have never dealt with her before. The other two times were young teens and they were nice. I got mozzarella sticks for the first time here and I wanted to see what size the Marinara sauce came in. So I could decide if I should pay for a 2nd one. She replied in a smart manner they are the same size as the always are. Which I replied this is my first time getting mozzarellas sticks from here so I have no idea what size the sauce is. Can I see it ? Was that necessary to be a smart as* ? The other issue I had was when I got my food. The bag was knotted up. So as I was attempting to untie my bag. I asked the other woman did I get a ranch for my wings. She replied it’s 75 cents. I said I just spent $25 on food and a drink. I don’t get at least one ranch ? She said oh my bad I thought you wanted a 2nd one. How did you think that ? When I clearly just asked if I had gotten one ranch to go with my wings. She was so busy trying to be nasty she didn’t even listen correctly to my question. Then as I’m leaving I hear her say to the other girl. It doesn’t matter how much you spend. You still have to pay extra for sauce. Again was that necessary? You just looked foolish and wanted to be rude for no reason. It’s clear you cater to customers who do not have brown skin. If you are not pale skinned you will be ignored ! The manager who did not speak to us was Nez! I asked miss nasty girl at the counter what his name was. I will not be going back to this Tunis. I spent $25 which is not cheap on fast food. Mozzarella sticks were salty! Food was just okay. Service was horrible. Us African Americans need to stop patronizing businesses like this. Especially when the disrespect is done right in our face. My whole family comes here and we will not be returning. Social media...
Read moreInteresting new place with an interesting menu mix. First review is food next is decor. Located in the Winn Dixie shopping center right off Baymeadows there is plenty of parking and easy in and out. Were greeted by a friendly employee Kylee who took the time to explain the specials as well as menu, shows good training and value of the customer 5 ⭐. They have a real mix of seafood items, chicken, wings, (most are Fried) Gyros, and salad's which is interesting. You can order a little 5 pcs up to 50 pcs. We have not seen Gizzards or Chicken Liver since SC so we tried both, both were tasty and fresh a nice 5 ⭐ though a little salty. I tried the 1/2lb fried scallops on a bed of lettuce, they were good but not outstanding so 4 ⭐. Rice and Beans Black Beans 5 ⭐ Rice, not to my taste so 3 ⭐. Lamb Gyro & Crispy tasty Fries was fantastic and big a real 5 ⭐ meal. Overall I rate the food as 5 ⭐ as I shall return. Now the seating area. You can tell they have opened on a budget with the emphasis on the food. Decor is minimal and while not welcoming is ok for a quick sit, eat and go. I hope once they get settled they invest into a more Dine in customer base 3 ⭐. Food comes out in styrofoam containers with plastic utensils and no paper plates available... suggest they invest into them. Owner Ben stopped by our table and you can see that he is proud of the quality of the food as well as preparation. We mentioned that perhaps a little to much salt was used and Ben suggested that we let them know when we ordered and they would adjust as they want to do it to our liking so a real positive 5 ⭐. We plan to return and enjoy. Also note they have specials for Monday/Tuesday that are worth...
Read moreSo I go through the drive-thru to order some food and I'm given a beeper now that never happened before and they tell me to park and then I don't even know what's going to happen when the beeper goes off.. so the beeper goes off for me and a few other cars in the parking lot and we all are just driving around to get back through the drive-thru line that we just came out of from ordering our food but now we're behind all of these other cars that have not ordered their food but we're trying to pick our food up while it sits on the counter inside and getting cold. So I think let me get out of the line and go inside and ask what I'm supposed to do and the girl behind the counter tells me it's too hot for HER to come outside to bring me my food like they've always done because she might pass out from the heat but instead you're asking the customer to get out of their car shut it off come inside pick up the food that we just drove through the drive-thru and paid for, why do you inconvenience the customer now instead of having the girl walk out and hand me the food and walk back inside she's not being asked to run outside and stand and have a conversation but we're putting HER out instead but we're keeping the business going by buying there & I've worked all day & I'm tired but I don't matter? Get a new employee who can walk out to a car 30 feet & back inside. Earn your salary like I earn mine. And the coleslaw is normally wonderful but it was so bitter I had to throw it away and I paid...
