The food is simply amazing. The atmosphere is light and friendly. The ingredients are so fresh you can taste the difference. This is high class good prepared with lots of care. The staff is friendly, helpful, and hard working.
I tried the stromboli, it was awesome. The flavors from the real wood fired ovens are perfect.
I had the calzone. It's perfectly prepared, the crust is light, crispy, and has great flavor.
I tried the wood fired wings. You serially don't want to miss out on these. Unlike anything you get anywhere else. The caramelized onions that come with them are sweet and delicious.
The macaroni. Oh my the macaroni. Wow. You're going to redefine what you call the best macaroni when you try this. So chest and flavorful. This isn't just cheese sauce on noodles. This is home made goodness that is to die for.
I tried the calzone. It is just over flowing with flavor. Their dough makes the perfect crust cooked to perfection in the wood fired ovens. This is amazing food.
The marinara sauce is fresh, light, and tastes amazing. It's not the watered down or over flavored junk you get at regular pizza places. It is delicious you can actually taste the fresh tomato in it.
Our part of nine had an amazing visit. The food is just unbelievably good. This place is an absolute gem for all of Jacksonville. We are lucky to have establishments like this. We will be back. We are customers for life. Thank you V pizza for an awesome experience. See you...

Atmosphere is casual, with food delivered to your table in a comfortable dining area filled with the sound of other diners' conversation and the noise of cooking from the open kitchen. If there's any doubt that the ingredients they use are fresh and high-quality, you can actually watch them slice meats and shred cheeses while you wait for your food.
And, the food. The crust is wood-oven perfection. It is thin without being crunchy, and is flavorful enough to be worth eating on its own. The sauce is amazing. Their use of San Marzano tomatoes and EVOO is obvious through its flavor and silky texture around the pieces of tomato. The toppings are fresh, (see above re: freshly prepped meats & cheese), and administered in thoughtful proportions on each pie. The salads are spectacular as well. I didn't see it, but I have no doubt that they are freshly prepared in-house daily. Their standards are so high that if you order a salad with chicken, they bring you freshly cooked chicken from the kitchen, instead of having previously-cooked chicken sitting on the salad in the cooler. We were told that the mantra at V Pizza is that nothing makes it to the table that doesn't represent their brand. Eat there, and this will be evident in ever dish you receive.

Read moreWell first to be fair, the taste of the sauce and pepperoni was absolutely AMAZING! The brick oven taste can't be beat. Thats why the two stars.
BUT- I made the mistake of ordering the gluten free pizza. I have never in my life thrown pizza crust out of the window as I drove down empty streets. I don't know why they are serving that crust?? It's the worst. I'm pretty sure its not biodegradable. If I saw a pigeon struggling to fly because it was trapped in that gluten-free crust, I wouldn't be shocked. I'm pretty sure it can be used as a substitute for drywall. It was like eating ribs off the bone. The toppings were the ribs and the bone was the pizza crust. It was an absolute mess of a crust. If Gordon Ramsey had tasted it, he would have said- this is inedible. Its a problem when Domino's pizza gluten-free crust tastes like artisan bread compared to this. It was rock hard. Don't eat this if you don't have strong teeth. I would have rather suffered hospitalization from gluten allergies eating the regular crust than to eat this. A very serious thought crossed my mind, that now I can start some wood projects I had in mind. Then, I realized it was a 10"crust.Not enough. Oh well. They would have done better to buy some frozen crust from the market and pretend like they made it fresh. Just thaw, and let the guy spin it a couple of times.
But on the plus side- the toppings...
