Waffle House — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Waffle house, for some great for others not, this particular waffle house is one of my favorites, I often go here with my father and enjoy a nice meal with him in the extremely early morning hours.

Atmosphere, it's Waffle house, somehow always maintaining a lovely quaint atmosphere, who doesn't love those foggy windows and the 1950s diner feel of the place.

Service, on most occasions my service is excellent, on some just okay, let's focus on the excellent, this particular Waffle house has some lovely employees who treat their customers of all ages well and are very attentive, hats off to them for doing such an excellent job.

Food, Waffle house has some good food in my opinion, just about everything I've tried over the years and nothing I've really disliked, I'd say the food is quite good and nice to have a conversation over with a friend or family member, there's a selection of drinks to accompany the food too.

Price, not too bad not too great, most meals will be around 9-10$ with the highest being about 12$ and drinks are about 3$ with free refills, not the best in the world but not bad seeing as you pay just as much for fast food.

Terrible customer service! My husband went to the bathroom and the door to the men's restroom wouldn't unlock to let him out. Luckily, he took his phone into the bathroom with him and had to call me to come to try to help him get out of the bathroom. When I went for help, I spoke to a woman named Dara and she gave me serious attitude and told me "what do you expect me to do, we don't have a key so I don't know what to tell you" and literally just walked away from me. No one seemed to care that my husband was locked in their bathroom for 10 minutes. Thankfully our friend was able to use his pocket knife to unlock the door. After all that we walked out and our food was there but after the inconvenience we left the restaurant because they refused to apologize or help in ANY way. No compensation or anything. Very rude and do NOT recommend going here and if you do, do NOT deal with Dara (the older white lady). Also, do not use the mens bathroom unless you want to get locked in and have no help from any of the staff. This location is full of cold hearted, inconsiderate, unhappy people. WORST...

👎👎POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - Not greeted and not attended to. - Quite the opposite experience from the last review. My husband asked for a table and was told to wait until the table was cleaned.

After the table was cleaned a group just walked past my husband and took the table. The waitress who told my husband to wait totally disregarded him and didnt tell that group he had asked for the table and went ahead and "attended to them". Talk about lack of empathy and customer service.

So we waited AGAIN, the same waitress told him to wait for counter to be cleaned. I took it upon myself to approach the counter so the next group wouldn't take the seats and the other lady told me to wait. I complained and said that's what you said last time and we didn't get a table. She said it'll be fine. At that point, I was already upset. I figured if we stayed, they would mess with our food, so we left ✌️.

Man, I don't think I would ever experience this kind of treatment at a Chick- fil-A. A part of me, felt like they may have been racist. Never going to that location (Next to U Stor Self...
