This was my husband and my very first time here. I was so excited to try it for months! He took me as a surprise. I googled this place multiple times and never did I expect to be so disappointed. Upon walking in we weren't greeted, we had to find someone to seat us. Finally being seated I expressed this was our first time and wasn't quite sure what to do.. We sat there 15 minutes before a waiter finally took our drink order. When he came back with the drinks, he rattles off what goes on there and he thinks it's done.. So as we had the chef cook our steak we were under the impression we go to the salad bar which we had a hard time finding because of where we were seated... After getting the salad and returning to the table I find the forks under the napkin on our table were absolutely disgusting and had dried food still on them. Again I tried to find the waiter.. 15 minutes later I located him and kindly asked for some clean silverware. 10 minutes later my request was filled. As well as our steaks. My husband had a t-bone cooked medium, filet mignon cooked medium also, however my steak was so rare it was cold and severely red.. Not to mention not even seasoned. I asked other servers for or waiter... 15 minutes later he shows up and asked if everything is ok... I responed in a nice respective manner that in fact it was not ok... He shrugged me off so I asked for box and our check. Took 10 minutes for the box and 15 for the check. He wouldn't even wait for us to pay, he took off, so we had to wait another 20 minutes and a request, 2 other waitresses for our waiter again just to pay. He asked if we needed our change, and I said yes, thinking this transaction should not take less than 5 minutes. I was wrong, instead, he went and had to sing happy birthday to 2 tables and totally disregarded us and the change we were expecting back. Finally we receive our change left a tip and left. We will never ever go back and will discourage our friends and family from the horrible service, unkempt establishment, dirty table settings. Please keep in mind, it was not busy when my husband and I went. Also we paid extra to have the steaks...
Read moreAbsolutely horrendous experience last night (2/4/19) Will NEVER return! Went for my parents' anniversary dinner. Walked in, was not greeted at all... bartender looked directly at us and we could not even get as much as a "Someone will be right with you" out of her. I had to ask if anyone was working tonight and her snotty response was "yeah she is. she is seating someone else right now and will be with you when she is done"... Such attitude for being in customer service.
Waitress comes and does not tell us any specials... We overheard another waitress tell the table on the lower level say to her guests "Hi, welcome to Prime Quarter, have you been here before?" They answer "No" and they basically got royalty treatment. We were never told that it was margarita Monday.
We could not get our drinks refilled for anything. My husband and I had water and got only 1 refill, after asking for it, in the time that we were there.
Empty plates sat at the end of our table for quite awhile after they were placed there.
Our waitress was the worst one I have ever had there. They were not busy at all either... so there is no excuse for the poor service.
We did the share a steak and my parents also did the share a steak. Waitress came back with 2 steaks, 2 potatoes, and 2 pieces of garlic bread and walked away. We figured she was going to get the other 2 potatoes and 2 pieces of garlic bread... NOPE! We had to ask her if we were supposed to share the food given between two people and she said "Oh I am sorry, I forgot"... Ugh, ok.
Time for the check to come and she never asks if we want it split up... Just gave one check for all 4. So with the check being $72.95 a great waitress would have been given a 25% tip, a good waitress would have been given 20%, but this TERRIBLE waitress received a 0% tip.
We will never step foot back into this establishment. We drive up from Rochelle, IL for this restaurant. 1 hr and 4 mins and 64 miles....
Read moreWe had been looking forward to dining at Prime Quarter and made the hour drive for a birthday dinner right before the holiday (12/23) with a party of 6. Ordered dinner (steaks), went to salad bar which was great. Our steaks were delivered (paid the extra 2.00 for the Chef to cook). When our food arrived on our plate it was just the steak with a slice of Texas toast, a cup of sour cream and butter and to our surprise there was no baked potato. We inquired with our server about the baked potato and were told the oven broke and they didn’t have any but could make potato wedges but it would take time because the cooks were in the process of making them. I, as well as other people in our party were looking forward to the whole meal; a salad, Steak and potato. If we had been told this prior to sitting down and ordering we could have made a decision if we were going to dine there. We kindly asked to speak to the manager (Dalton) who in my opinion has no customer service skills whatsoever and should not be in food service because he clearly does not put the customer first. (There are many places one could choose to spend money to dine). Dalton came to the table with what seemed to be disruptive to his night, basically said nothing, was not apologetic for what we as customers were inquiring about which we felt was important enough and quite frankly were a little disappointed. Dalton spoke once and said; by not having the potato… that ruined your meal” to the table response… that IS the meal. The meal is the salad, steak and potato! Just having a piece of meat on our plates was not appealing. He walked off and said nothing more. We were a little surprised by his response. When we got our bills he took 1.00 off each person’s bill (assuming this was his potato cost) I was not impressed with Dalton and thought his way of approaching the customer was not a great experience for a place we were looking...
