I visited Becky’s Bakery on two separate Saturday mornings right at opening, and overall had a pleasant experience. On my first visit, I ordered a black coffee and a blackberry scone. The scone was quite good. Slightly dense, not overly sweet, which is exactly how I prefer my scones. The coffee, however, was scalding hot. So much so that it was uncomfortable to hold, let alone sip right away.
I returned a week later and tried a cinnamon twist donut along with another black coffee. The donut was decent, though it didn’t taste particularly fresh. More like something baked the night before than that morning. Unfortunately, the coffee was again extremely hot, which seems to be a consistent issue.
That said, the pricing is quite fair for a local bakery, and I appreciate the quick service. Despite the temperature of the coffee and the slightly underwhelming cinnamon twist, I’ll definitely be returning to try other items. Becky’s Bakery has charm and I look forward to ordering...
Read moreI've been here 3 times now, the first time I ordered a rhubarb and strawberry muffin. Not terrible it seemed pretty fresh and the flavor was good. The crumble was pretty heavy and too much for me but I'm sure other people would love it. Came in a 2nd time wanting to try their cinnamon rolls this time. The lady who was there seemed frazzled and said she was running behind so no cinnamon rolls. I was a little disappointed but settled on a strawberry and lemon muffin this time. It was about the same as the last one but more dry. I came in today 2 weeks later again for a cinnamon roll, and again the lady says she has had a late start and no cinnamon rolls. The only other option is the scones or muffins again. This isn't a terrible place but the muffins are just OK, and it's a pretty big let down that they never have anything ready when they open. They should probably come in earlier before they actually open and do there baking and prep sooner. That way fresh options for...
Read moreI went in, not knowing what to expect honestly. I was greeted by a redhead, I can't remember her name but she seemed sweet. I asked if they had any drinks, and she made me a lovely caramel iced coffee with whipped cream. She suggested the monkey bread and a pumpkin cream cheese muffin, I also got a Blueberry cream cheese roll. All were phenomenal! I went back a couple days later, and she was there again. I tried a scone, and it was soft and delicious. They had a few of the same items I saw 2 days prior, but most of it was new and fresh. I got a pecan pie bar to-go and it was amazing as well. When I buy pecan pie at any other store, there is hardly any pecans. Not there, there was a lot! I wonder if the redhead is Becky, I'll have to ask when I go back in again. Prices are very cheap for the servings! I think they have had a major turnaround from the reviews I have read before I first went myself. Glad I waited for the newness...
