McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Jefferson City

We went to this place after being on road all day from central Illinois and went in ordered the choose 2 and got the half spuds and upgraded soups my wife got a spud and asked for extra green onions and I got a chipotle spud I got chilli and she got the Broccoli cheddar once we got our food we started to eat the soups and noticed both was only luke warm mind you it was 8pm And the extra onions we asked for wasn’t there so I had went up and asked for more and let the guy know our soups wasn’t warm at all he asked if we want them remade and warmed up I said yes please so they brought us smalls after ordering large and yes it was warmed up .. At this point I went to eat the spud and noticed that there was blue berrys in mine pictures attached.. I then asked the girl if they made them with blue berrys and she said well no and I was like okay just asking .. At that point they was behind counter laughing making fun of the fact I asked about the blue berrys and I then over heard a guy say yeah he said the soup wasn’t warm either so at this point we went up and got to go stuff and just left to eat our food at the hotel cause we felt embarrassed and humiliated by the employees for making fun of us for complaining so instead of asking for a refund I will call in morning .. this is not how customers should feel especially after paying almost $40 for their meals at the end of the day, we are paying your guys’s wages management needs to train you guys better...

Update: Just found out from one of my coworkers that a "manager" had called to apologize for the condition of the potatoes, but offered nothing except a "Hope this doesn't keep you from ordering from us again." Fail on the potatoes and fail in regards to the lame customer service. You may want to rethink ordering a potato bar for your future events.

😝My company had ordered a baked potato bar for a recent meeting. We have all had potatoes at the deli on our lunch hour, so everyone agreed this was a good call for our meeting. Not so much, it was a D- at best. When the potatoes were hot, they were decent. But as soon as they cooled off and we came back for seconds, the true mishandling of the potatoes became evident. They were for the most part, burned, def overcooked and unsalvageble. Instead of one big potato, we received two medium potatoes, stuck together, just with the ends cut off. Very disappointed in what I saw today November 19, 21. Was in there around 11ish waited in line, only one cashier, plenty of workers just no one working the frontend. Another girl was trying to get orders out. When it was finally my turn I wanted to place a catering order which I already knew exactly what I needed to order. Just very basic boxed lunch for 65 people. Of course no one asked me that. The cashier looked at me and said I don't know how to do that, while the other girl beside her says twice without even looking at me "she will need to come back or order on line". The disorganization, the lack of customer service, the fact they didn't want to take my order told me I needed to look else where. Which I did, and they were busy too! I had to wait there also but at least they apologized to me and everyone for the wait, but also, took the time to take my order. I also feel reassured it will be made and delivered on time.
