For Here or To Go. C'mon, it's not that hard to ask. Unless you're deliberately avoiding getting trays dirty. All over Missouri, I've found that McD's only asks if you want Dine-in or Carry-out about 1 in 15 visits. That's pretty terrible.
Breaking down the star ratings, 3 out of 5 for food. Yes, it was fresh, but minimal lettuce and tiny slices of tomato left the sandwich feeling like it was underachieving. The ketchup dispensers were, as usual at most McD's, empty, but at least they had some packets sitting next to the dispensers.
Service. 3 out of 5 again. All I have to rate it by was the speed of the line and how long it took to get my food. The line was slow, and they did not open a second register when the very slow line began to extend into the store. I was not asked if I wanted dine-in or carry-out. When the food eventually came out (actually, only a little slow, but within the time we've come to expect in the past few years. In other words, 5 years ago, people would have walked out. Today, people just complain a little.) it was, of course, in a paper bag. I ate at a table anyway.
Atmosphere. 4 stars. Nothing about my visit made me feel like this was anything other than a dull place to eat at and leave. Honestly speaking, the refusal to consider using trays for a nice dine-in experience leaves the customer with the sense that they're not especially welcome. 4 stars suddenly seems generous, doesn't it?
All in all, it was an uninspired experience. Fast food used to put the 'Service' in the...
Read moreOrdered curbside. Guy delivers my order to the wrong vehicle before taking the food back from them and delivering it to me. Not a big deal. People make mistakes. Says he couldn't make the coffee I ordered because he "didn't even know what it was" (I ordered it from their menu, nothing fancy). Told him it was fine and to refund it. Rolls his eyes and walks off while I'm trying to ask for fresh fries because the food isn't even warm. But he doesn't(?) hear. He comes back with cash. I tell him again the food isn't warm and request fresh fries. He gets huffy and again rolls eyes. I try to hand him the fries, he pushes back and says he can't take them back (even though I watched him take the order back from the wrong customer moments before) so I ask him if he can throw them away for me - he grabs the bag from my hand and throws them on the ground beside me. Now I don't trust anything coming from the restaurant so I drive off, frustrated. I call the restaurant - it's not busy but rings repeatedly, no one answers. Call again and ask to speak with a manager. Of course the guy who throws my fries answers and says he IS the manager. So now it's ok for managers to litter in their parking lot? Disrespect customers? He doesn't apologize or anything, just says if he "took the fries back, he would be in trouble." Did you not just say you were...
Read moreCame here after work on night, the girl started to take my order, then right in the middle of my order she switched to the other lane, took 4 orders & never came back to the lane I was in. So, I drove to the window to place my order which she then informed me she was the ONLY one to take orders in Drive-Thru & in Dinning (Honestly, that isn't my concern). I finally got to order, then waited 45 minutes for 4 items to be made in which my McGriddles were hockey pucks & cold.
Aren't all 4 McDonald's plus Holts Summit all Owned by the same Family? (Use to be owned by Jim Baumgartner, he & his Family would have NEVER allowed what I experienced to go unnoticed.) Much less not wearing hair nets while around food, wearing gloves to prepare food of any type, having your cell phone on you or on the counter next to you, talking on cell phones while on Duty behind the Counter. I get its Fast Food, none of the Employees Care about their Jobs, nor do the Owners Care about their Establishment or their Employees. I am a Former Manager from McDonald's, what I was taught to be Fast Friendly Service & Fast Food Quality (and making sure its done right NOT just slapped together to go on to the next order). You can sure tell times...
