I ordered a 14" pizza to be delivered to me to my home in the Jefferson Park area. I placed this order over the phone at 5:54pm. The young lady who was taking phone orders, quoted me one hour, or perhaps less, depending on restaurant traffic. I called at 7:06pm, was put on hold for 8 minutes, and then I hung up, I then called back at 7:15pm and was put on hold for another 4 minutes, after stating to the young unseasoned person who answered, that I did not want to be on hold again. I hung up and called again at 7:31pm, quickly explained my situation before being put on hold for another 7 minutes. I had managed to state in the last two phone calls at the different time frames, that I would like a 20% discount. The young lady who put me on hold to inquire with her manager about this request, came back to the phone to tell that they would give me a $10 credit. I called back at 8:05pm to cancel my order as it had not yet come, two hours and 10 minutes after I had put through my phone order .
I strongly recommend that one does not order from Bacci Jefferson Park. I had also stated that I was a new customer trying out their pizza for the first time. Nothing mattered to the person answering the phone, or apparently to the manager she sought for clearance to give me a discount. Having grown up in a family business, I can confidently state that my experience earlier this evening is just "bad business." I will continue to order my pizza for delivery from Lou Malnati's Chicago, in the Portage Park area..

Read moreMy bf & I come to this Bacci’s all the time. We’ve never had any issues with our food or service since we’ve started coming there. We went there late last night, my bf paid with tap & the transaction went through after going through all the prompts - it said “approved” on the screen. When our pizza was ready, a group of three had walked in & were up at the register so they made room for us when we went up. I grabbed the slices & we were about to walk out, then the owner started claiming - he was yelling at us too - that we didn’t pay for the pizza & insisted we pay again. We had no issues paying again if the transaction didn’t go through but just wanted to be sure so, my bf checked his bank statement & it said he had paid. The owner said it doesn’t matter what our bank statement says, if it didn’t print a receipt it didn’t go through however we have never gotten a receipt from Bacci’s before. My bf asked the man next to us to vouch for us & he said the screen definitely said “approved” when he walked up to the register & the bank statement said we paid. The owner insisted we still pay again & to go out of our way to call the bank to refund the second charge. The owner also threatened to get the police involved. We refused to pay again. The owner said that if in two days, our bank refunds us the money for the pizza, we have to come back & pay for the pizza & give him an apology in front of everyone. Then we left. Read moreAll I have to say is WOW!!! The manager, Raffael, was SO professional, kind, thoughtful & a true leader. I have worked in the service industry for many years, never have I EVER encountered this level of management. He definitely sets the bar high! Long story short, Grubhub gave me a short delivery time window & when that time passed, I called & spoke to Raffael, ( I requested to speak to the manager ) & he was extremely professional and said & did the absolute right thing to keep me as a customer! He delivered my food personally & no joke, I don't know how he got to my house in like 30 seconds lol but he did. Like I said, I've worked in the industry many years and I'm floored at how awesome this person is. He offered a refund, which at this point I feel bad taking. The food, also VERY good. I ordered my food around 1am BTW. Everything was delicious! We had a grilled chicken sandwich, on ciabatta bread (👌) pizza slices, and a salad. I got the italian beef slice & I'm obsessed! The quality did not suffer even though it was close to closing! The salad was great & a very generous portion! I am a customer for life now. Good food, amazing personal service, I couldn't be happier. Do yourself a favor.... Order the food, it's incredible. Call & ask to speak to Raffael.
