The Windsor Tavern and Grill — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

The windsor tavern is an okay place if you want something to eat and something to drink and chill out and watch the game or listen to music and socialize. It's not a bad bar the bartenders are friendly however, it seems to me that this bar attracts a lot of older people inside the bar. I'm a young lady I'm not an elderly person I was the youngest person inside the bar watching the game I didn't see any young people around me none. Also the other thing is none of the people that go inside that bar are very friendly besides the bartenders being friendly the crowd is very not friendly they're to themselves they don't really talk to you especially the older generation I'd be sitting in there by myself pretty much the whole time nobody would even say hello to me besides the bartender. New ownership apparently since September, with great changes already made to staffing, cleanliness and the overall friendliness and feel of the environment. I spoke with the bar manager, Sarah, who was friendly and easy to talk with, and it sounds like there are a lot of exciting changes still coming, with bingo, trivia and live music being a few paired with continued hiring efforts which are underway.

Having just moved to Jefferson Park, we look forward to frequenting The Windsor and watching this place grow! Love that we are within walking distance to such an awesome neighborhood bar.

Food was good but not worth enduring the awful service. Told the waitress/bartender that we would be sitting on the patio and we would be served. Walked by several tables next to us on the patio and serviced them but didn’t even take our order for at least 10-15 minutes. We put in food and drink orders at the same time and were our appetizer before our drinks because the server completely forgot about them. Wanting to leave, we asked for our check and a to go box upon getting our meal we were sharing. It took about another 10-15 minutes for us to get the check and to go box, which during that time the server serviced the several tables surrounding us.
