I dropped in to Burrito House for lunch after shopping at Unique Thrift, which sits diagonal from this restaurant. I held my parking spot at Unique Thrift hostage and walked over to the restaurant despite Unique Thrift being a madhouse because of Monday sales. I went to Burrito House with the goal of just getting take out, but once i ordered I figured that I would hang out and get a feel of the restaurant itself to put together a decent review.
As for my order, I ordered the small burrito dinner w/ rice and beans, which was quickly made. And when I say quickly I mean I barely had the chance to take off my jacket and take pictures for Yelp. The burrito was actually very good along with the rice and beans, however my only minor complaint is that the burrito was very juicy and it dripped juice every time I squeezed it to take a bite, which may have been a problem if I ate it in my car.
One thing in particular that you will have to take note of if you eat at Burrito House is parking! Parking is very slim at this location, as well as street parking because of it being the only option for some neighborhood residents, plus other businesses surrounding. Other than parking being slim, Burrito House has an ATM inside and also a television, which may be utilized at select times of the day.
As for returning, yes indeed I would, but I would have to be in the area, and be tolerant of the lack of parking in this...
Read moreI went to this restaurant ever since it was located next to Little Caesers on Addison and kedzie. Good service and good amount of food for the price you paid. Unfortunately some of that has changed. I ordered for pickup and was met with a hostile attitude. I gave it a pass, I worked in the hospitality food and beverage industry for years so people have their days. However, the following week I went with a few friends after a game of frisbee. We were pooling our cash together and deciding what to order when one of the cooks yelled at us asking if we were just going to stand there in Spanish. We thought he was joking at first, nobody else was really in the restaurant aside from someone waiting for their food. He kept looking at us and made it known he wanted us to order or get out. I get it, you may be busy with online orders but that type of attitude was unwelcoming. We ended up going next door to El Potosi and received very humbling hospitality, it was amazing. We sat outside and enjoyed a wonderful evening in their outdoor patio. Yo no sé qué pasó burrito house, pero yo conociendo como era el servicio antes y ver como me trataste estos últimas dos veces no creo que regreso a ésta locaccion. Food quality is nothing special tbh,...
Read moreI have been spoiled as a kid. I was introduced to a burrito with steak, cilantro, onions, and cheese at La Pasadita. And that was it. I used to love it with everything in it. But since that first intro to a new kind of way of eating it I was hooked. I have since moved to Florida and have had no luck finding anything like that here. Until my parents told me about burrito house. Truth be told I have always ordered on Uber Eats and just went in person recently. Burrito House was amazing. It did not disappoint. I would venture to say it equals to, if not better than La Pasadita. In my humble opinion. Definitely check it out for yourself. You will have to thank me later. 500 stars! Two thumbs up to the staff working hard and putting smiles on peoples faces. Thank you so much for being so kind to my dad when he is there. I truly...
