It has been a long time that I've been to this place, the restaurant has been here for about thirty years so decided to stop by. The restaurant is big, and since it was breakfast time, there was not a lot of people inside. Our server did not say her name but she has been working here for some time now, she did recommend some items so we ordered Jamaica and Horchata water, both very sweet so perhaps next time I will order a smaller one. The plates are big so they can be shared, the Shrimp fajitas were good, not spicy, and the Enchiladas Poblanas were good as well. Typical Mexican dishes that come with a side of rice and beans of your choice, I think she mentioned 3 types of beans and 2 of rice. The food didn't take long to arrive and our server was helpful and came around to ask a few times if we needed anything extra. As we were leaving, more people started coming in so perhaps lunch is busier.

Been here 3+ times, as it is a walk from my place. Each time, I order the menudo (so my review may be biased). I love the menudo here, it is not heavy and does not have hominy. I appreciate this as some places make the soup mostly hominy, way too salty, and not much tripe. This serving has much tripe and is such a value for the price paid. I always have left overs for dinner! I've also had the tamal, and some bites from friends I brought with me (burrito, tostada, and margarita). All were good, the margarita didn't have much alcohol but still tasty. Once again, I love the proximation to home and menudo soup. Bonus points for the beautiful Our Lady of Guadalupe right when you enter the doors!

The late great Heavy D pondered aloud "Now that we found love what are we going to do...... with it"? I say eat 🌮 tacos. This place in Logan Square was an absolute HIT!! The tacos were amazing and the tostadas will definitely keep the party going... Now the beverages... Oh the beverages...... do exactly what they are intended to do... We give this place a 5 🌮 🌮 🌮 🌮 🌮 out 5 and the Drinks get 5 🍸 🍹 🍸 🍹 🍸 out 5!!! Take a quick trip to Logan... You won't be disappointed!!! #tacotuesday #tacosarelife #doinglifetogether #tacostacostacos #tequilatuesday

I've experienced this restaurant for the second time in a row just to have the most horrible experience ever. I arrive at 2:57am on break from work. I order two chicken and two streaks, the lady turns around from the register and with a disgusting look on her face and tone she says to me, "WHAT TACOS?!" I say "yes sorry about that." My total came out to 9.97 I gave her 10 dollars I noticed she didn't give me my change I said forget it I didn't want it and I'm on receipt, I assumed she needed the receipt for her to call the order and I'll receive one with my food. After 15 minutes I asked her how much longer she says 2 minutes, I told her I'll be back I'm gonna take a smoke. I come back I wait, now 30 minutes go by. I see there's nothing going on the grill. After waiting at the register for for another 4 minutes as the cashier laugh with some guys she finally come to me and ask "what?" I asked her " can I have like on the side. She looks confused and I'm like with my 4 tacos 2 steak and 2 chicken." She tells me to hold on and goes to the side of the window and talks to cook. They have no tacos. she speaking to the other waitress sitting down with some guy. The other waitress asks where and when did I order. I said I just ordered with her 30 minutes ago. The cashier says "no id not REMMEBER." Not they're asking for receipts calling me a liar and it's commotion as I keep calm. The cashier still continues to say I didn't give money and tells me to shut up once I say check the cameras I want a redund and can I speak to the manager. They say here is no manager. now both ladies are being rude and are involving other customers asking them did they see me on there and did I order. On guy tells them I did order. After 12 minutes of humiliation they decide to give me tacos and I had no choice or it would look likeninwas trying to cause trouble. When the cashier handed me my food she shove to my hand and say get out. She also acted like she didn't know English but knew all the rude words as well. I was 45 minutes late back to work from break. I even threatened to call the police before they decided to give me tacos because notnit looks like you guys are scamming me out of 10 dollars. I don't not recommend this place they are horrible. I also had the beef tripe the night before and it was not good at all. I failed to mention how two men that knew the employees there were involving themselves disrespectfully as well. I have a huge following this will go viral l. I wish I...

I’m shocked that this place has received reviews like this in the past—I assure you, they all seem false. Tucked right in the heart of Logan Square, this restaurant is such a gem. In a neighborhood full of excellent but pricey spots, this spacious place delivers something special—authentic Mexican food that tastes homemade and comes at about half the cost of what you’d pay just down the street.

The menu is filled with rich flavors, fresh ingredients, and comforting dishes that feel like they were made in someone’s kitchen with love. Even better, the desserts are homemade and the perfect way to end your meal. The atmosphere stays true to a classic Mexican restaurant vibe—warm, inviting, and full of character.

This is one of those spots you’ll want to add to your regular rotation, whether you’re local or just visiting the area. Delicious food, fair prices, and an experience that stands out in Logan Square—definitely...
