I really loved this place - great atmosphere, lovely staff members, good food and drink… but…
I had a super uncomfortable experience that really makes me not want to go back. I’ve been here at least half a dozen times to do work. On this latest occasion, I went to the bathroom and found that the door didn’t lock. I know this because some opened the door shortly after I entered. I closed the door again and tried to jiggle the lock until I felt resistance on the handle. Someone still managed to open the door and horrible awkwardness ensued.
After all this, I start to wash my hands and find there is no soap. I walked out of the bathroom and try to enter the only other bathroom so I can wash my hands. Another awful embarrassing incident happens as I open the door and there’s someone in there. Apparently that door doesn’t lock either.
I told a staff member about the locks on the doors and the soap problem, who responded that they had run out of soap and that more was coming “in a few days” and that they had hand sanitizer available. Also, they confirmed they knew that both bathrooms didn’t lock and were “working on the problem.”
Honestly, I was so embarrassed and disgusted by the whole experience that I just left on the spot. How hard is it to put a sign on the bathrooms saying they are out of service? I considered putting a sign in the door frame just to let other people know so the same thing didn’t happen to them. But I was just too upset, so I left.
If your bathrooms don’t lock and neither has soap, YOU SHOULD ABSOLUTELY LET CUSTOMERS KNOW. You aren’t offering a sanitary experience and furthermore you’re enabling unintentional invasions of privacy of your customers. This is so frustrating because it would be SO EASY to just put up a sign with scotch tape.
Please fix this as soon as possible. I don’t think I’ll come back because I don’t want to come to a place that doesn’t care about customer’s safety, privacy,...
Read moreI love this place. I live in the neighborhood and come here often. The baristas are always really friendly and the service is quick. I love trying the seasonal drinks. They had a really good mango sticky rice latte that I loved, however my usual go-to is their iced matcha latte. I'm really particular about them, and they always make them so good.
The only thing I don't like about coming here is that it's (more than usually) so crowded that it's difficult to find a seat. I like to sit and do homework/play video games for an hour or two before going about my day and being able to get a seat is sometimes a feat in itself. Even in the middle of the work week! But that only means they have good business, so I'll take it.
It is a little on the pricier side. Two drinks, and 2 sandwiches usually runs my partner anywhere from like $45-50 after tips.
Definitely check the place out if you're in the area, you...
Read moreWas very excited to try a new place in the neighborhood, unfortunately they weren't excited for new customers. What was supposed to be a quick pleasant lunch turned into a disappointment. First off, the price of the sandwiches in store is different than online. Second the service is atrocious, such rude arrogant staff that have no care for what the customer needs. We ordered 2 drinks and 2 sandwiches, both drinks were completely not what was advertised and when it was brought to the attention of the barista/server whatever she is, she made it clear she didn't want to remake the drinks and couldn't do much to help fix them. And then to top it off we hear her talking about us to her coworker complaining about us wanting our drinks fixed. We were so excited to try a new place and support a local business but I feel robbed and...
