friend of mine and I went here to catch up after we grabbed dinner and drinks at moonlighter next door. has inclusivity and acceptance signs in the window but seems it’s for show because from the get-go, staff was cold and not hospitable towards us. got there half an hour before close, so we just grabbed 1 drink. friend picked out a game they had in a selection by the front, got some judgy stares for that? uncalled for and rude. the staff member that took our orders, at the bar, seemed just as cold and didn’t seem like they wanted to be there. both of us felt uncomfortable and ready to go after our drink. never had such a terrible drink, tasted like old vinegar and my friend said the same about hers. that was the best thing to add to the atmosphere of the place. the cherry on top was someone coming by minutes later to tell us the patio was closing in 10 when there was 30 mins left to close. that was our final straw, should’ve been mentioned when we got in, we had our bad wine and left. don’t care to come back, won’t recommend this place to...
Read moreThis is my new favorite spot! Great atmosphere and ambience (records, board games, patio, you name it!). All the wines I've tried on their menu have been top notch–some really unique and well curated selections. The food is great too. Last time I was there I had soft pretzel that I'm still thinking about days later. They even have a vegan cheese board available, which I can't wait to try. What really makes this place great, though, is the service- specifically Jason. Jason is thoughtful, attentive, and really knows what he's talking about when it comes to both the wine and curating the records playing throughout the night. I gave him some vague notes about what kind of wine I like, and he introduced me to what is now my favorite wine of all time. Not to mention, it's impressive to watch him juggle a full restaurant AND make time to flip the records! Stop by, order a pretzel, and let Jason pour you some wine. You...
Read moreWOW! What a place! This is something I would like to call a hidden gem as I have mentioned it to multiple people around the city and they have never heard of it!
We had a table reserved on a Friday night and it was a perfect place to be before going out. We ordered up at the front and first started with a bottle of white California wine. We also ordered a cheese & meat board, a side of fries, and a pretzel to share. It was all spectacular and we loved sitting there and catching up (as they are out-of-town friends).
The staff was extremely nice and tentative! The home hitter however was the decor. So many beautiful plants hanging from the walls, and a cute little disco ball in the middle of the room. It was a small area however I do want to go back once it's nice out as it seems that they have a phenomenal patio!
All in all, You have to go here. A SUPER affordable wine bar, with charm, and tasty...
