Frank's Chicago Shrimp House — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

Something has changed in the flavor of the breading in their shrimp and fish chips. Also their vegetable basket. It was bland. On top of being bland, they had no onion rings to accompany the basket. It took them an additional 20 minutes to fry up another vegetable to add to my bag and they still got my order wrong. They didn't know what happened to my bag for a moment, then they found my bag with the pick ups when I clearly was already there and had paid for my order. No apology was made, it was "have a good day". When I called about my order being wrong, they did not apologize and they mentioned they would have my order ready. I asked for another day because I go out of my way to get to Frank's when I do order. She seemed bothered as if it was my fault the order was wrong. I always call my order in advance because I don't live close by and get out of work late. My order was suppose to be ready at 8:30pm, I left out of there at 8:55pm!! They weren't super busy when I got there but as I waited for the vegetable basket they did get busy. I don't know if it's under new management but service and flavor has gone down hill and I have been going to Frank's every lent season and on other occasions for about 20 years. Very disappointed I must say. I guess I will try another Frank's location and hope I get the great flavor and service I know Frank's to have. This place is getting sloppy with their service. I ordered from the prices online. I also paid with cash and I was charged like I paid with card. I called them to verify and the person gave me all different prices than the website. I told him you need to update your website and he said we don't go by the website, the prices are on the wall when you come in.

I asked him to add up the total with what I bought and it came up different. He hesitated and said they didn't even have an order with my name. I said that's ok you can keep the extra dollar or whatever the change was but shame on you. I guess because I was on the phone when I picked up and just paid gave him the right to charge more. I didn't verify like I always do. He should have still done the right...

Over the years the recipes have stay the same, however prices for the shrimp have become higher (consider inflation).

Approximately $17.50 1lb Chicago Golf Shrimp, not bad considering the shrimp size; however $3 for side of fried mushrooms is outrageous when you are only getting 6 full mushrooms & 1 stem splited in two. Sides like macaroni salad, potato salad, & coleslaw are priced at $1.25, the large fries $1.75 not bad for portions.
