Disappointing Experience Despite the Hype
Had a reservation at 7 PM (booked via Google/OpenTable) and arrived just five minutes late to a nearly full restaurant. We were told to “sit wherever we wanted,” which already felt like a red flag considering we had reserved ahead of time.
Unfortunately, things didn’t improve from there. It took 30 minutes just to place our food order. No one offered us silverware, napkins, or even asked if we wanted to order another round of drinks or try dessert.
There seemed to be only three employees working — and it was hard to tell who was doing what. Two out of the three showed zero urgency and seemed unable to multitask. As we waited, I noticed multiple other tables complaining about wait times and service.
I’ve been familiar with this place for a while and expected more, especially from a spot that’s been around long enough to have worked through growing pains. Sadly, it felt like the basics of hospitality and service were missing. • Service: 1/5 • Food: 2/5 (Tried the al pastor taco and steak sope — both underwhelming) • Drinks: 2.5/5 (Cilantro margarita was okay, nothing memorable)
Won’t be returning...

The steak tortas have always been my go-to, but ever since they added the lemon chicken to the menu—wow, it's a game-changer. Flavorful, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The happy hour deals are unbeatable, and the drinks? So good, you’ll find yourself ordering another round before you know it. On weekends, the vibe is next level—especially when DJ Flymaxx or DJ DMoney are spinning. The energy is always fun and inviting. What really sets this place apart is the owner, Art. He always goes out of his way to make everyone feel at home. Celebrating a birthday or special occasion? He’s known to treat you with free shots and even a dessert—such a thoughtful touch! The staff is equally amazing—friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to be there. Their positive energy really adds to the experience. And don’t even get me started on the outdoor patio—it’s perfect for sunny days and makes for great photo ops. Whether you're coming for the food, the drinks, or the good vibes, you're in...

We initially didn’t realize the previous restaurant had been replaced (my only advice to the owners would be more prominent signage, maybe a sandwich board on the sidewalk so folks know there’s new ownership!), but as soon as we peeked in it was obvious. Fun vibe, cool decor, good food and killer cocktails all served by attentive, friendly staff. The menu covers everything you want from a Mexican restaurant, alongside some surprising additions like lamb chops, calamari, pad Thai and Caesar salad. The mojito i had (ok ok the TWO mojitos i had) were perfection and i can’t wait to come back in warmer weather and have one (ok ok two…) on the pretty patio. I almost hate for more folks to know how good it is because i don’t want to have to wait for a table 😝 - BUT this place deserves to be crowded. Come...
