Best place on Devon, in my opinion, for samosa, rolls and Pakistani style desi fast food. They make mediocre pizzas, but still better than what you would find at Tahoora, Pak Sweets, etc. I come here for mainly veggie samosa, beef/chicken patties, and chai. Parking can be a little tough on this block of Devon, as there are several grocery stores on this block. Like other restaurants and grocery stores, they are open on Tuesdays too (most other businesses on Devon are closed on Tuesdays). Don't expect any South Indian vegetarian items here. Prices are comparable to other desi sweets stores on Devon, i.e., inexpensive. This place only serves halal food items. Enjoy!
Edit: They only sell Jalebi on friday in the afternoon after the prayer and it sells out pretty quickly. IMO, Sukhadia two blocks west has the best...
Read moreI found this fairly new Indian/Pakistani sweet shop to provide a better overall experience than Tahoora and Pak Sweets and Bakery for the following reasons; the dining area is very clean, the lines are always short because they provide very fast service, everything they sell is visibly displayed on monitors, and their bathroom is clean. As far as food quality goes, the sweets are all made properly and taste delicious. About the same in terms of taste as Tahoora. The burgers are good too but their patties are more like shami kabobs (very finely ground beef patties). But they weren't bland and so I enjoyed them. If I ever want sweets, a quick cup of chai, or a snack I would definitely consider this place again over the bigger names...
Read moreGreat Sunday breakfast. We were visiting from out of town and decided to get a traditional breakfast of “puri halwa and Chana” before driving back home. The staff was very courteous, and the food was good. You have to accept the fact that it will be oily. That’s the nature of this type of food. The portions were very generous. Three Puris per breakfast was a bit too much actually. We ordered three meals for four people and still could not finish them! My suggestion, order 1 breakfast meal for two people. We ordered some Samosas also which were very tasty. At $1.50 per piece, a little pricey I though. But good. Cost was very reasonable at $7 per breakfast (halwa puri and Chana) meal. All in all, a...
