Pete's Place — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

The bathrooms are gross. I went to Pete’s a few weeks ago on a Saturday night and someone had thrown up all over the bathroom… next time I went a few weeks later, it looked like it was not cleaned up yet. Right after they opened around 6pm, the restroom had odd stains and gunk stuck to the walls, no toilet paper, and long hairs stuck to the sink. The beer on tap isn’t very cold and something seems off about the carbonation. The bartender was friendly but sat at the bar looking at his phone most of the time. I was thinking of getting something different since my first beer didn’t taste right, but he gave me another of the same beer as soon as I finished my first, without even asking me if I wanted another or if I wanted the same. I have given this place a few chances but they have not impressed me yet. Lizards down the street is a much better and cleaner spot with great service. Pete’s needs a visit from John...

I’ve lived in the are for awhile but had never been to Pete’s. I came in after a guy was being creepy to my friend and I at a bar down the street. Well the creepy guy followed us to Pete’s…we told the bartender, Michael, about the situation and that we were uncomfortable. He was AMAZING about it and made us feel really safe as two young women just trying to watch hockey. He kept an eye on the situation and ended up kicking the creep out and afterwards, kept checking in on us. Pete’s is now a favorite and huge respect to Michael...

It really sucks when you have a FAVORITE bar, but one bartender can ruin your appreciation of the bar! I am a regular at Pete's Place, and I know every bartender. But tonight, one bartender in particular ruined how I felt about this place. He was on his phone. The customers almost had to scream to get his attention! And when he wasn't on his phone, his attention was only towards his favorite people! I had ONE drink and left to go to Lizards because I can NOT be in Pete's Place when that bartender is working!
