Doesn’t deserve even one star but was the only way to leave a comment. We went 11-24-18. Placed an order at 4:23. Place was relatively empty. At 5:35 asked when we would get our food. Was told it would be about 45 more minutes. Went up to make a complaint and tell them to cancel order. Have never been treated so horrible! The guy we complained to, claimed to be owner/manager. He was the most rude obnoxious person I’ve ever met. When told him didn’t want to wait on food, he asked 6 different times in a hateful way, “ which table, which table” And he wouldn’t even look in the direction I was pointing any of the times We were at the table right in front of him.His excuse for taking so long for our food was that the clock wasn’t correct! And even asked us “ when y’all walked in, did you see those two big Golden Arches outside”! Omg, he was such an arrogant a**! We wanted to do the right thing and pay for our drinks and he tried to over charge us $80.00. Never once did he try and apologize for anything. Went here for dinner after a friend recommended it. We were told to sit anywhere so we sat down in the back roomwith the stage and pool tables. 15 mins later after no one came to chexk on us we decided to find a table in the main dining area. We chose the table closest to the kitchen thinking someime would surely notice us. Another 15-20 mins later still no service from any of the 80's clad waitresses. Finally a female employee in a tshirt (not one of the waitresses) came by and asked if we had been helped. She apologized for our wait and immediately took our drink and food order. We ordered chips& "salsa", the chip bin was empty when she tried to get chips and the salsa if thats what you want to call it was nothing more than tomato paste. We also ordered a 2 & 3 piece carfish dinner. The catfish was ok, not great, coleslaw was way too sweet, the 3 tiny pieces of tomato in making up tomato relish wasnt any good. It is an old school bar with smoking. A thick layer of smoke in this joint... not a fan. But that’s not why it gets 1 star. There’s no cocktail/drink menu! What bar doesn’t have a couple special drinks they’re really good at? My husband ended up getting an old fashion and I asked for my my standard French 75. Gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and some bubbly (champagne or ginger ale). The waitress told the female bartender and she loudly said “What is that? I’ve never heard of that, I don’t know what that is.” Wide eyed, seemed annoyed. It was loud enough that I responded back to her from across the bar and said nevermind. I felt like such an inconvenience. 2 other restaurants in your small town of Jefferson serves the common French 75, don’t make me feel stupid. My husband and I ended up sharing the old fashioned, leaving some cash and splitting. The waitress was sweet and looked a little mortified.
