The Hive was delicious! My lady and I got the Brown Sugar Baby (iced) and the Milk and Honey (hot). We ordered the milk and honey to he half sweet thinking that sweeter coffee beverages tend to be overly sweetened. However, this beverage was not sweet enough with half honey. (I think the Brown Sugar Baby was the best of the two. It was an appropriate sweetness. The milk and honey was not bad, just a little bland!) The ambiance was amazing, with lots of places to sit and work or read. My only constructive criticism is that there was no soft music, which would help eliminate the echoing of the house-turned-coffee-shop.
Also, awesome staff praise!! My girlfriend and I were confused and thought that the Brown Sugar Baby was actually the Milk and Honey. Upon receiving both drinks and realizing that we mixed them up, the barista made another Brown Sugar Baby on the house for my girlfriend without us even suggesting her to do this (since I drank her drink, thinking it was mine😂)! Read moreEdit: We came back a year later and we are so happy we did. I had a hot violet coffee and both girls had iced lavender honey. My daughter and I had avocado toast, DIL had a frittata. All 3 were amazing.
Amazing! I would rate higher if I could. The location, building, staff, decor, food, drinks, all amazing! My daughter and I stopped in for a quick bite and drink before enjoying our day in downtown Jefferson and we were not disappointed. The owner and employee were so warm and welcoming, the building is adorable, all the decor is just so darn cute. I had the Bumble Bee Butt late and a cup of tomato basil soup, my daughter had Hibiscus tea and avocado toast, everything was delicious. The bumblebee butt was one of the best cups of coffee I have had...ever, and I drink a lot of coffee. The owner made recommendations for dinner later and was just so polite. Can't wait to go back on our next trip...

I’d like to offer a suggestion on how to make the toast more appealing. Suggestion: use real avocado, mash it in a little bowl and season with salt and pepper(trust me on this it is a game changer) now you will spread the avocado on the toast. You can either top the toast with : a poached egg, a fried egg, or some red pepper and drizzle with olive oil. It is such a simple yet delicious fix. Anyway, we really enjoyed the food and customer service and we will be...
