We had the one of the best anniversary celebration weekend ever! We slept really well in Mac's room! It was so cozy and being on the second the floor, the window view was sweet as we looked down at the garden below. With water trickling into the pond was so peaceful and beautifully landscaped! At night we were provided treats to have Somemores! Make sure that you are not 6'5 tall. The ceiling in Mac's room is angled and low in some places. We just had to be watchful. My husband bumped his head a few times.
It was fun to also visit with other guests in the morning at breakfast and at the end of the day! The owners shared many things at breakfast that we could do in Jefferson. This made it exciting to decided what we would do first. We did the "Gone with the Wind" museum and antique shopped. We had dinner at Mc Garity's pub! The food was fantastic. My husband does not like Brussel sprouts and he loved how they cooked them here. The music was live and we sang to practically to every song! Be sure to get a reservation early. We ate at the "Austin". It was our anniversary dinner. So its more of a dressy up affair. You are paying for the atmosphere here in the menu. All the food was cooked to perfection. The service was good, as well Mc Garity's Pub. There is no smoking in both places. We like the décor at Mc Garity;s and Austin was like a high class restaurant with a vintage look. The recipes and beautiful creation of the breakfasts at the Kennedy BNB were fantastic and so delicious! Presentation and period of the time dishes. It was fun to sit at a table with strangers and then when you leave they are your friends forever. They even have a trolley they purchased, to give tours of the town history. We don't have a baby grand piano or even a piano forte! But they do! and what a treat that was .We could duet, with me on my violin playing church hymns. We will be back and hope to bring family so we can share this experience of the Kennedy BNB and the town of Jefferson. Memories will always...
Read moreMy cousins house was destroyed in the recent storms, so I made a quick trip to Jefferson to help her. All I needed was a place to sleep and I lucked into a room here (due to someone having to cancel their reservation). I feel bad that I didn’t get to experience all they had to offer! I was greeted by the owners when I arrived and was given a tour before being shown to my room. The owners are super friendly and I could tell they want to make sure your experience is excellent. I stayed in Mac’s room. The sheets on the bed were so soft and the bed was very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was great and the temperature in the room was also great and perfect for sleeping. As I said, all I needed was a place to sleep since I was out all day in the heat helping my cousin pack what she could salvage and move into a rental. Both nights I was there, I came back to the B&B exhausted, so the shower and the bed were my main focus. I got back late the first night, but got back around 6pm the second night. The second night when I got back, I stopped by the coffee area to get ice for my Yeti and found a strawberry cake sitting out for the guests to enjoy! It was a very welcome surprise! I grabbed a slice and it was delicious!!! I will definitely book here the next time I come to town and when I do, I will make sure to stay for their breakfasts and take them up on the tours they offer! The location is great, ample parking, and the house it so clean and beautifully decorated. This was my first time to ever stay at a Bed and Breakfast and it was a great experience (even if it was just...
Read moreOur stay at Kennedy Manor Bed & Breakfast was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charm of this beautifully restored 1860s Greek Revival home, perfectly nestled in Jefferson’s historic district. The location is unbeatable—just a short stroll from the quaint downtown shops, restaurants, and attractions, yet it feels like a peaceful retreat.
The hosts, Tommy and Tracey, are the heart and soul of this place. Their warm hospitality made us feel like we were visiting old friends rather than staying at a B&B. They’ve poured so much love into every detail, from the impeccable antique furnishings to the modern comforts seamlessly blended into each room. We stayed in Patty’s Room, and it was cozy yet spacious, with a comfortable bed and a nice private bathroom.
The breakfasts? Absolutely delicious! Each morning brought a new, made-from-scratch masterpiece—think gourmet casseroles, fresh fruit, and tasty French toast, all paired with piping-hot coffee. The coffee and snack bars on both floors added such a thoughtful touch.
Kennedy Manor wasn’t just a place to stay; it was an experience that left us planning our next visit before we even checked out. If you’re headed to Jefferson, Kennedy Manor is the only place to stay—Tommy and Tracey have created something...
