My husband and I walked into this particular Dairy Queen(as this review pertains to no others) at around 3:50 Monday afternoon.. We washed up, and then went to place our order. First off we stood in line behind another customer having a conversation, that had already ordered, for about 5 mins without being called to order ourselves. Then when we did finally place our order we where met with a very rude manager that explained the special we ordered was over at 4:00pm.... It was like 3:58. As a customer courtesy regardless if it's even 2 mins earlier OR later, why not just go ahead and give us the special? And on top of that there's no need to be rude about it. So at this point my very frustrated hubby was ready to just walk out and leave but I begged him to stay because I was famished after a long day of outdoor activities... This was a mistake, we should have left then and there but I had no idea my dining experience was about to be hell.. After placing our order we sat down and waited for it to be brought our to our table. A few mins later the girl appeared with our food and we said thank you and quietly asked who the man was that was so very rude to us (I was wondering who to report to the GM the next day) and she explained to me that he WAS THE GM, ran the store and was in charge of everything. I then expressed my concerns about the special and how it wasn't time for it to be over yet she said and I quote "well I don't know what to tell you that's our thing we do!"... And she walked off. Literally 10 seconds after she left our table I hear the manager scream "is that right?!! Ok let em call whoever the hell they want! I'm still going to have MY job at the end of the day!" The whole rest of our meal was similar to this. The staff was back in the kitchen hollering and cutting up laughing about how he was going to be snitched on for nothing and he was in charge and who am I going to even tell..On top of it all there was a man sitting at a table across from us eating and we didn't realize it at first but he must have worked there because about 5 mins into our meal he got up swiftly.. Next thing we know our whole private conversation we where having at our table(which was about our wonderful day we where having up until this point and had absolutely nothing to do with DQ, the staff, the food etc. not a thing) was very loudly being repeated, laughed about, and made fun of by the manager and his staff back behind the counter! So we stopped talking altogether and decided to hurry up and eat so we could get the heck out of that place.. After a few mins of silence and rushed eating the manager and another employee walked out of the back and starts sweeping, cleaning and discussing sports very VERY loud all around our table!! We hurried up and finished and left horrified... Btw the whole place was yucky it didn't appear prior to that the staff had did any kind of cleaning at all throughout the day, the women's restroom actually had pieces of feces on one of the toilet seats!! Now to give praise.. Our order was correct, we received everything we asked for, it was hot and fresh and absolutely 100% delicious!!! They did a amazing job in that area for that KUDDOS! So the moral of this VERY LONG DRAWN OUT REVIEW as far as this DQ goes if your having a good day and don't want it ruined by trashy employees and a nasty, germy environment to eat but still want hot delicious fresh food go through the drive thru (and I guess say a prayer the kitchen is cleaner where the food is cooked than the rest of the place so you don't catch salmonella or e coli)... Or bypass this place altogether and go to the Subway across the street OR one of the 10 other fast-food places in the area!! Thank you so very much for reading, I kno it's a very long review and it took some time to read I just wanted to let everyone know in exact...
Read moreSoo I've had issues with both Dairy Queen locations in Jeffersonville, Indiana and the most recent issue was yesterday, July 10th, 2022, around 1:30pm when my mother and I went to this location to get (2) Large Milkshakes as I had the Buy 1 and get 1 for $0.99 and I informed the drive thru attendant that I had a coupon, and she was like pull around and we did, where we had to wait at least 10 mins or so because whatever was going on with the car in front of us, so the drive thru attendant scanned my phone and still said it would be like $10 and some change for the 2 milkshakes, so she tried again and still the same thing, I even informed her she could enter the number that's on the coupon into their computer for it to change the price, that's when her and some guy said we don't know how to do that and still asked for the $10 and change for the 2 milkshakes and I was like I'm not going to pay that when I have this coupon right here. So, my mother and I left, and we definitely weren't happy customers!!!
IF they don't know how to manually enter the code from a coupon that's from the DQ app, then they need to be fully trained as soon as possible because I know many friends of mine who have the DQ app and visit that...
Read moreI was terribly disappointed. A medium blizzard and a large blizzard for $16? My large blizzard was more like vanilla ice cream than anything else. I'm partial to a Reese's peanut butter cup and banana blizzard. This store gets points because they actually had bananas available during the banana split sale, but my blizzard had not one chunky bite in it. It was a combination of both having been spun up on the blizzard machine to the point where the add-ins were decimated but also they had been frugally supplied in the first place. This was the Dairy Queen that introduced me to the Choco Cherry Love Blizzard so many February's ago, back before DQ discontinued it for being too ingredient intensive (my guess, it certainly wasn't an unpopular flavor), That's why I expected better. If I had wanted flavorless vanilla soft serve in a cup I would have gone...
