The absolute rudest customer service I've ever experienced anywhere. I've ordered from them many times- without fanfair or incident. Food isn't spectacular but not God-awful either. So, I stuck with them. I tolerated the rude female Chinese women who were loud, brutish, and persistently cut me off mid-sentence on the phone regularly. Unfortunately, things took a bad turn when they began forgetting my/our drinks. Not once, but 3 times in a row. Not ok. So, the next time it happened, they not only forgot our drinks again, but delivered ice cold chicken-on-a-sticks. (Not ok either- we're 3 minutes away by car.) So, I refused to pay for cold chicken sticks as that is not what is advertised or indicated. When I refused to pay for the chicken sticks, they left them with me regardless, and still, I hadn't paid for them. I didn't want "free cold chicken sticks" I simply wasn't going to pay for cold chicken-on-sticks, so...doing the right thing, I drove their poor product back to their store and laid them on their counter, telling them I didn't order cold (old) chicken-on-sticks and didn't want to keep them- I did the right thing by returning them. However, the rude Chinese woman threatened to call the cops on me- totally misunderstanding the situation and not allowing me to speak- and so now they completely refuse to deliver to my house- outright.
BUYER BEWARE- these people are rude, unfair, and can flip your script without notice or care. There are other Chinese restaurants that have DECENT PEOPLE working there that actually "care" about their customers. Not worth the time, effort, or energy- consider other options. Bottom line- if they screw up your order, they will NOT make it right- you're just out of...
Read moreFirst off I use to live close to Double Dragon on Goss Ave so they may have spoiled me, which is why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 2. Double Dragon is top notch and there's always enough for leftovers. Anyways, the young lady was playing on her phone when I was ordering and seemed to be more annoyed at me than wanting to help me. I ordered kung pao chicken and 2 egg rolls. The food came in a timely manner and I said thank you to the older lady that just turned and walked away without saying anything. No big deal but I left feeling more like a nuisance to them than an appreciated customer. There's a deep freeze and storage shelves in the eating area. Pretty nappy but I got mine to go so again, no big deal. I put the food in my car and started to drive away when I noticed an awful stench. I regretted going there during my 5 minute drive home. When I got home and took everything out I realized the awful stench were the egg rolls, One bite and I almost threw up. I never tasted anything that awful in my life. I spit it out and stupidly tried the other one. It tasted the same. I spit that out and threw them away. They stunk so bad I had to take my trash out. I have no idea how frozen egg rolls can go bad or if the oil they used was bad. The kung pao was just ok and the portion was on the small side. After eating at Double Dragon 3-5 days a week for 4 years I suppose my standards are too high for this place. If not for the attitude I would consider giving them another try but with the whole...
Read moreNot exactly sure of what province of china this place represents? I've tried a couple different dishes from the menu. the Sahara dessert War Su Gai Chicken was very dry and over cooked, had it managed to break through the deep fried coating, I'm certain it would've sucked up the gravy in haste! The General Tso Chicken apparently lost the same battle in that kitchen. served over broccoli that could've used a few more minutes over the steamer! China taste offers delivery if ordering over $12, a nice option, although the food could use some serious attention to justify its pricing! the orange Chicken did pass muster barely, was evident the cooking oil was old and left a bitter after taste! I have yet to venture into the beef or pork dishes. The owner, an Asian lady with a chip on her shoulder, certainly doesn't roll out the welcome wagon either. during my visit the establishments phone stayed busy with calls for lunch deliveries. this is certainly a typical hole in the wall restaurant, the décor consists of well worn furnishings, supplies and misc. items, certainly a to-go take-out atmosphere. okay for a lunch, but wouldn't recommend it...
