Went to Tazikis tonight, excited to see them come to Jeffersonville IN, this is our second visit. The first time we went there three items we wanted to order they were out of, (beef, lamb and something else?) so we left. It was the first week the store opened and we chalked it up to being a new store and low on food items. But gyros are pretty big on the menu, and they had none. So we waited. Thought we would give them a second chance. Tonight we went back again. Got the world’s smallest piece of baklava for $3.35, not even two bites. Ordered chicken pesto gyro, they forgot the pesto. And the potato chips on the side looked like someone had crushed them, literally crumbs. The lamb gyro had almost no sauce, gristle in the meat, and another serving of crushed chips. The fruit was fresh though, guess that was something. Spent just under $30. What a huge disappointment and waste of money. Again I have eaten at the one in Louisville many times, it was great, but Jeffersonville restaurant can’t seem to get their act together. Couldn’t decide between Tazikis or BoomBazz’s Pizza. Obviously we made the wrong choice. Will not give this restaurant a third try. Very honestly Arbys gyros are better, and much faster...
Read moreI try to leave reviews that are above all honest and I also try to give great deference to what may be going on at a given place at any given time.
I went here and ordered a few things. It was around lunch time and they were not terribly busy. The staff seemed mediocre at best as far as recognizing and greeting anyone that came up They seemed helpful and nice but didn't seem to be happy to be there for whatever reason. I ordered my girlfriend a gyro and I got a couple of things a la carte off the menu. I specifically asked if the rice was seasoned and the person working there said that it was. My girlfriend's gyro was good as far as I could tell. The rice that I got was bland except for the fact that it had an excess amount of lemon juice and it seemed overcooked mushy and not very good at all. I got what I could describe as about a half a breast of chicken and that alone was about $20. The cups were quite small and it came in Styrofoam and it just was not a good experience. I don't recommend this place and I probably will never go back. There are many many other decent Mediterranean or Middle Eastern restaurants in the area and I would advise anyone to go there and not...
Read moreCame in during their 100th Location Celebration and was pretty disappointed. The chicken in both the gyro and roll ups I ordered was very lukewarm and not at all hot to the taste or touch. I was also told that I couldn't remove anything from the gyro I ordered as I do not like onions or tomatoes on them so I had to take the time to pick all of that off once I got my food. The roll ups didn't even come out until about 20 minutes later when an employer had to ask me if I got them yet.
Also, there were a ton of employees from corporate and they were barely engaging the customers along with the owner, Keith, who I did not see speak to any guests at all but thought that signing the photos on the walls was far more important and even get in a customer's way that was sitting down waiting foe their food just to sign a picture without even asking if they would please move.
I absolutely won't be making an effort to eat here again. The dip sampler was delicious and the grilled cheese pita was okay but not enough here to really bring me back. The inside is nice and modern and they do have beer and wine but nothing posted showing what wine or how much any of...
